Murder at the Conference (WIP)

There is a conference in China. I'm planning to go around and do some sight seeing at the same time. I wanted Christa to come with me but the more it goes, the more she is getting on my nerves.

China is strange, very different than anything else, yet in the conference room, there is this guy again. He is wearing short, looking like he is on holidays, but I saw him before. I can't shake the feeling that he had something to do with Kaji's death...

And then, during the first presentation, someone dies.

At time, life can be so depressing. She is walking her usual recovery tour in Harajuku, finishing with a crepe, trying to forget that her boyfriend dumped her once again for the week-end... when the unthinkable happens... A boy stops in front of her in the street and kisses her, in the middle of the street, before running away.

Trying to discover more about him, she is dragged into a dangerous game of mystery. A biologist has been murdered and a deadly virus is on the loose. First suspect: the mysterious Harajuku's stranger.

Wednesday Snippet 393: Fairy World 34

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week.

She still had problems to understand how she had been thrown in the middle of this all and how Kalisto had given up this world so easily. Because she was in love, she reminded herself, because she thought I would take good care of it and now, I'm locked underground and I didn't even know that magic was gone. Did the human even told her the truth or was it just a ruse to get out of here? She probably had been sent here for a reason by Kordelius's mother. This was too much to take on.

"What can I do for you my queen?"

Amarelis jerked. That was it, the sound in the pipe next to the cord. The voice seemed to come from far away. Amarelis took the speaker.

"Can I have some tea please?" She asked, "And some cake too, I feel a little hungry."

"It's too early for tea don't you think?" said the far away voice.

She was the queen, how dared they discuss her order.

"I have a guest with me, she seems hungry too, don't forget to bring two cups," Amarelis said. "Do you use sugar, or milk?" She asked for Deborah.

The human girl was surprised by the question.

"Sugar?" She guessed.

THE BOOK OF EARTH Snippets List

Welcome to the snippets of Witch Raising: The Book of Earth.
The Book of Earth is book 5.2 in the Demon Series and book one in the Witch Raising series. It's part of two series because it continues Brownie's adventures just after Fairy World but it takes her into her own initiatic journey of self-discovery.

Brownie is back on the train, leaving Fireden behind to pursue her trip to find a witch coven willing to help her. She hopes for a peaceful journey but the demons have another idea. On top of that, she has to deal with a reckless witch who doesn't mind casting spells in every directions and damn the consequences.
