Mystery Monday 234: Murder at the Conference 131

 

Hello mystery lovers and welcome to a new Mystery Monday.
I hope you had a great week-end. Here is a new little part of Murder at the Conference. Murder at the Conference is a stand alone sequel to Harajuku Kiss.  

Today we start with chapter 5:

 

The breakfast room was huge and filled with a lot of tables, most of them with physicists talking. Even my supervisor was here. He seemed a bit surprised to see me but didn't say anything.

My hotel had apparently been chosen to held breakfast for the conference members all around, especially because breakfast wasn't supposed to start that early at the hotel for normal guest.

There was an assortment of fishes, rice and rice cake at the buffet on one side of the room. Just looking at it made me feel nauseated. I walked to the other side to see if there was anything better, something that my stomach would agree to keep in at least until lunch. There was something more western like and that's where most of the non-asian guests were queuing, including Christa.

“Anymore of your friends around?” she asked as I passed near her to get myself a plate.

“Maybe, I haven't been looking for anyone.”
