Welcome to Mystery Monday. This week, we continue with Murder at the Conference.
Let's get back where we left off with chapter 2 last time.
He ate some pieces of his okonomiyaki making a spectacle out of it as if food was the only thing that mattered.
“I'm just not interested in the world all that much,” he said. “It's all the same, I don't know how to explain.”
“It's all so different. Everywhere something new to see, something new to learn.”
“But not my taste,” he said.
“I don't really understand,” I said. “Sorry.”
Seiji didn't want to travel and I wanted to be everywhere, I could probably hop from places to places indefinitely and be my happiest. I needed this trip to China or to anywhere like oxygen, staying in the same place for too long made me feel claustrophobic. Maybe that was also related to the fact that my apartment was a one room with a tiny bathroom and tinier kitchen in the entrance. Or maybe it was because my office wasn't much bigger either. I didn't remember that claustrophobic feeling before Japan, though I still wanted to move around a lot. Actually, I couldn't stay put. As soon as I was able to get my own money, I was out in the wild, traveling to all the countries I could reach.
