Welcome to Mystery Monday. This week, we continue with Murder at the Conference.
Let's get back where we left off with chapter 2 last week.
“I guess you can always ask at the conference then ask your friends.”
“I'll be sort of touring China, first in the West, then to the East,” I said.
“It sounds like a great adventure.”
“Says the guy who lived in Australia,” I answered.
“Says the guy who was locked in a lab in Australia for the all time of his kangaroo adventure,” Seiji answered. “I feel a bit bad thinking about it, I didn't see anything, I thought that was life. That all I needed was to study, that the rest was boring or all the same and uninteresting. Then I look at you and how you look at the world outside with so much curiosity like you expect something fantastic at every crossing you walk through and I'm feeling like something is missing inside of me. I don't know how to enjoy things except for my work and programs.”
“And food,” I added.
“Yeah, I could go to all those places you visit and spend my time at the hotel on my computer without ever looking through the window even once and just pick restaurants for whenever I'm hungry though instant ramen might also work.”
“I think that's rather hopeless.”
