Welcome to Tuesday Travel. This week we are following Brownie on her journey as she is going toward the second element: Earth.
About Witch Raising.
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as
the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing
Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being
centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows
Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has
been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult
situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy
with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to
keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.
“Hey cake, this way,” Daphy was on the other side of the wagon, waving at her as if nothing was happening.
Brownie looked around for a way to pass forward through the escalating argument. This was going to turn bloody.
She shook her head and nodded toward the two guys in robes and silently mouthed: “I can't leave.”
Daphy rolled her eyes and Brownie almost wished for another sleeping spell but that was sure to alert the demons outside.
The voices were rising, the geologists weren't accustomed to being told what to do by complete strangers, especially at their conference when the strangers were wearing what seemed like a bad cult uniform. But if they kept at it, the demons were going to hear them anyway. If Daphy made everyone sleep maybe Brownie could get the both of them in a corner. She made her decision.
