Hello mystery lovers and welcome to a new Mystery Monday.
I hope you had a great week-end. Here is a new little part of Murder at
the Conference. Murder at the Conference is a stand alone sequel to
Harajuku Kiss.
We start right were we left off last week:
If we had been out, he would have hugged me but in the car, he just shook my hand and closed the door behind Margaret before going to take a seat next to my supervisor.
“I hope this one is not giving you too much trouble, is she?” Alistair said with a glance at me.
“No, not at all, she works really well, really well,” my supervisor said.
“Lucky fellow, she used to be such a nuisance knocking at my door all the time,” Alistair answered laughing.
It was true, I couldn't help myself. I always needed things from him, be it computer programs or just results. He knew his code so well that he could probably type in input files with closed eyes. I could see that my supervisor was a little bit uncomfortable.
“I'm sure you enjoyed me being annoying,” I said.
“I miss it sometimes. We only have shy students now. Nobody to terrorize their supervisors.”
I didn't think I ever terrorized anyone, I was one of the shy introvert one. I just wasn't afraid to ask guidance at the time, like I am now. Somehow, I longed for my younger self.
You can now find all the Snippets of Murder at the Conference on this blog all together right here.
