Chemistry, I know a little, mainly inorganic chemistry and theoretical chemistry. Something that complicated, I had trouble to put my mind to it. There were too many parameters to take into account to understand anything from the first reading but my brain was already visualizing the molecules slowly turning in three dimensional spaces.
I can do that, I can see things in three dimensions in my head. That’s what got me the best grades in molecular physics all those years when I was still a student. I didn’t need to draw the molecule on paper, I would just fix a point in the air in front of me and the molecule would take shape there and I would turn it and fold it and look at it and directly see all the symmetries. It was easy. Organic molecules were working in the same way but they were huge. And you didn’t have much symmetries to take care of; the interesting part was their properties. I wasn’t too sure about it but it seemed to me that some of those were synthetic, humanly created new organic molecules.
