Welcome to Mystery Monday. This week, we continue with Murder at the Conference.
Let's get back where we left off last week.
“And you'll see what the photograph wanted you to see, not what's really there. You'll see the place through someone else's eyes but never through your own. You'll never know how it smells what the light is like, what the weather was like, what the wind feels like on your skin.”
“But I just don't see the need for it,” Seiji said.
“It's not about what you need, it's about what you want.”
“I don't get the difference.”
“Because you don't need friends and you don't need things and you don't need to see anything either as long as you can work,” I said.
“Exactly, it's just how I choose to fill up my time until I die, all things being equally meaningless.”
“Which is what I don't understand, if they are all equal why is anything else than what you do so bad and such a waste of time?”
“It is for me, I know you need it somehow I just don't,” Seiji said.
We had this conversation many times and I always ended up feeling angry and defeated.
