Welcome to Mystery Monday. This week, we continue with Murder at the Conference.
Let's get back where we left off with chapter 2 last week.
I laughed at that, the way Seiji thought was different.
“Hell no, she was going with her boyfriend but she wanted me to go home so that we both would get in trouble for not finishing our poster tonight.”
“Maybe you should have come home early,” Seiji said with a wink.
“Oh come on, even with the poster at the printer, I'm still worrying it won't be perfect. If I didn't finish it I would never be able to sleep tonight.”
“I'm sure you still won't sleep much,” Seiji said adding sauce to my okonomiyaki before serving it.
“I don't know, it's just, I'm not really friend with Christa, we don't talk about stuff. I guess we are just sharing office and trying to bear with each other. I don't think she likes me at all, and I'm not sure I like her either.”
“I think you're just not good at people,” Seiji said.
He was right in a way. I had no friends, at least, no real one. I had nobody to talk to in Japan anymore since I moved to my own apartment instead of staying on campus at the students' house. Yeah, I still went to parties from time to time but most of the people I knew were students and moved on with their live, either going back to their country of origine or just going to master and master degree in Japan seemed to be like PhD in Europe but worse.
