Welcome to Tuesday Travel. This week we are following Brownie on her journey as she is going toward the second element: Earth.
About Witch Raising.
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as
the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing
Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being
centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows
Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has
been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult
situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy
with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to
keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.
“What is this all about? These two almost jumped me but something at the window told them not to,” Daphy said.
So the demons knew what she looked like, at least one of them or maybe Daphy's magic didn't smell the same. Brownie hadn't done magic in a while, except for the pentagram on her couch but that couldn't have been what had attracted them. The hunters had to know they were looking for someone her age, that's why they had stopped to question her, probably waiting for the demons to arrive and tell them if she was the one of not. They must have figured out that she was invisible to them, that was the only explanation she could think of.
“How far does you spell go?” Brownie asked.
“Just this wagon,” Daphy answered yawning. Brownie was wide awake but it seemed that Daphy was affected by her own spell.
