Hello and welcome to a new Mystery Monday.
I hope you had a great week-end. Here is a new little part of Murder at the Conference. Murder at the Conference is a stand alone sequel to Harajuku Kiss.
We start right were we left off last week:
“Do you need some help?”
They looked at me as if I came from another galaxy. That was so awkward.
“We're ok,” one of them said.
“Good.”
I took that a clue to take my leave. I slowly turned around and backed away to my office with my cup of earl grey. I shook my head and sat back at my desk. I was definitely not a people person. Where had my awesome ability to make friends super fast gone?
“He said that he didn't know what China would do to our relationship,” Christa said entering the room and letting her bag fall on her desk. “We spend all night talking about it. We started at the restaurant, we continued while playing darts, then at my place. I won't see him before I leave and his conclusion was the same as his first sentence, that he doesn't know what China will do to our relationship with me gone for so long and that he didn't know if he could even text me while I'm away.”
