FAIRY WORLD Snippets List

Welcome to the snippets of Fairy World.
Blue Angel is the fifth book in the Demon Series. In this novel, we stay a bit longer in the Fairy World after the end of Blue Angel for reasons that are totally obvious once you read the whole book.

Fairy World (Finished draft)

If things can go wrong, they will. Especially when demons are involved and they are busy with their own thing in a world they don't in. Why did Seti go back to the Fairy World when he knew how dangerous that was? Why did magic suddenly disappear? How are they ever going to get back?
Back home, Brownie does the only thing she knows how, take charge with whatever knowledge she has about the situation, when everybody else is panicking. Let's hope it will be enough.

Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 399

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.

Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last time.

"They were going to kill me if they had a chance. The first man I killed him because he was one of you and you are a danger to me. I think he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. The second I killed him because he was a jerk. I mean he hit his junior for asking a fair question and I hate that kind of behavior, he was narrow minded, that's enough to want to kill a person I suppose."

"And Jarek?"

"I didn't kill him. I drunk his blood which was pretty interesting and let him live," I said.

"He is dead," my guard said.

"It wasn't me, he was alive when I left him and I stopped the bleeding, I'm sure he still had enough blood to keep going, even weak."

"I don't believe you," my guard said.

"I never asked you to, but I don't see why I would lie about him in particular, I didn't know him, except from what I saw drinking his blood and beside, I killed more people than I can count so one more or less won't really make a difference."

He sighed and looked away.

"If I opened the door for you now, what would you do?"

"I'll take care of the ones torturing Alexei and make sure he is somewhere safe, then I'll go for Jorge," I said.

Thursday Fiction 388: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

She didn't even flush after vomiting.

“I'm you, you are me, we should be fine.”

“Then what do we do?”

“Imagine we are holding hand and close your eyes. It's easier if you are sitting on the ground.”

On the bathroom floor, Isabelle shifted and sat on the floor, whipping her face, still damp from earlier. She realized that she hadn't been out all that long. Maybe they had a chance to do something before her mother came back running after her.

“Don't let your thoughts get scattered,” Nanurah-Isabelle said.

That was going to be a difficult one but Isabelle placed her hand as if her other self was sitting in front of her and concentrated on her voice.

Then she remembered the fear. What if other universes were really as dangerous as the alliance said, what if Nanurah came here to replace her.

“Maybe we shouldn't try,” Nanurah-Isabelle said.

“Yes please, I want to do that, just I can't control my thoughts too easily, they run wild all the time.”

“But you don't trust me.”

“I don't trust anyone, not even myself,” Isabelle said.

Wednesday Snippet 390: Fairy World 31

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week.

"If you are the queen, why don't you order them to let you go out or something?"

"Because the day I became queen, the only thing telling you how to live our life disappeared," Amarelis answered.

"So you hide," Deborah said turning to the door and moving the handle frenetically.

"I'm not hiding, I'm just..."

"Don't you think your people need you when you have that psycho in the castle," Deborah said.

Deborah didn't seem as weak as Amarelis has thought in the first place.

"They blamed it on me," Amarelis said wrapping herself with both arms. "They said I broke the balance and that the stars are angry because of me, I shouldn't have grown my wings."

"I like them," Deborah said.

"What?"
