Welcome to Tuesday Travel. This week we are following Brownie on her journey as she is going toward the second element: Earth.
About Witch Raising.
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as
the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing
Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being
centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows
Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has
been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult
situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy
with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to
keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.
“A
boulder,” some people were discussing in the leisure compartments,
probably other professors here for the conference. There was a sort of
uniformity to them. They were wearing the same type of over used
clothes as if they hadn't been shopping in years or they were wearing
suits. Still in normal setting these types of people wouldn't mix, but
since it was a university thing, that didn't really count as normal.
They all seemed to have seen a lot of rocks, even though Brownie was
sure that the feeling was linked to the fact that she already knew
there were geologists filling up the train.
“Hey,
Oscar, any idea what's going on?”
Henry
had just entered what Brownie had counted as the last wagon before the
control room if she wasn't mistaken. There was only one other man in
the corridor. He was rather young with a short black hair cut. He had
some dark patches of skin that had probably been sunburned multiple
time over and callous hands. Him too was wearing clothes that had
seen better days including and overly large sweater with one sleeve
rolled up over a thin left arm.
