WeWriWar 97 Demon and Fairy

Welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

Don't forget to join the new blog hop for Vampire Writer (and readers) if you want to join just add yourself to the Facebook group. Let's continue Seti's adventure.

In the previous episodes: Seti let the chaos got out of him as the father of his sister's fiance threaten to break the engagement. Wild, he flies to the beach to see the only person near whom he can get rid of the Chaos without pain, the fairy Kallisto in the Human world below his. He can only observe her through a tidal pool. But this time, she is in danger. Trying to rescue her from a snake, Seti lands in the world below. However, as Kallisto tries to touch him, he flies away back to his hidden place on the beach and listen to Kallisto's conversation with her best friend Kelpie who once again proposes to “It is the first time the Chaos manifested,” Seti’s father answered clenching his fists. “Then it is bad luck, he shouldn’t have been born in the first place, and he shouldn’t have stayed alive once born. Now, you can start blaming yourself for everything that is going to happen if he lets you live long enough to see it. We can’t be sure.” The man said without even looking back. He followed his companion through the corridor to the kitchen door. her and is refused. Kallisto needs to choose between Kelpie or going back to the fairy world to marry prince Kordelius. As the night comes, Kallisto goes home and so does Seti and of course his parents are all weird... (Remember, Seti used his forbidden power and left without an explanation... ) Then Seti was mysteriously pushed in his room, in the dark and apparently turned blind. For the past few weeks, Seti is trying to control the Chaos who wants to take over his body. We had some flash back to explain the relationship between Seti and the Chaos. Seti managed to open a hole in the wall while keeping the Chaos away, but how long can he stay in control?

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Seti had stopped to wait and see what the others would do.

Something felt down from the tree, Kallisto heard the sound of something going down in the branches. It seemed heavy. She stood up in a jump and left her flute to the fairies. Seti felt down unconscious near her feet. Kallisto smiled seeing that it was him before realizing that he didn’t seem well.
She sat near him on the floor and almost passed her hand on his forehead before remembering what he had said: “It’s just dangerous to touch me, if you touch me, something bad can happen to you.”
She wondered what so bad could happen to her, but he might have his reasons.

Seti managed to open a hole in the wall while keeping the Chaos away, once he managed to escape, fighting the Chaos wanting to kill everyone, he flew once again to the beach.

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Seti had stopped to wait and see what the others would do.

Feeling the sand with his bare feet made him realize that he didn’t put his shoes on. He walked to the tidal pool forgetting the complaints of the Chaos and fell, on the edge, out of exhaustion. She was there. She was playing the flute for the fairies under the tree, rocking on the swing as usual. As he looked at her Seti felt the Chaos sliding away for him, hiding deep inside him. The headache was disappearing with each note of the flute. He bent a bit more over the water, he wanted to be near her, he was so tired that he felt as if he was going to die. Without noticing he collapsed and entered the water.

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Seti had stopped to wait and see what the others would do.

Seti closed his eyes for a second gathering his energy. He knew he was close. He just needed a little effort, just a little step further for the suffering to stop. He opened his eyes, the street was deserted. He stood up and elevated himself in the air. He flew really low to make sure nobody would notice him. The Chaos was pressuring his head more and more, unhappy to be carried away with him.
“But you have no choice, I’m the one making the choices no matter how much it hurts,” Seti thought giving himself courage as the Chaos raged.
He landed on the beach.

And we all know what's going on when Seti is on the beach, right? Feeling relieved already?

Answers to last week's comments

Needles in the brain is an image, it was not litteral seeing that Seti is still controlling his hands, but I have to admit that sounds really creepy like a hell of a headache.

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Seti had stopped to wait and see what the others would do.

He was wondering if he wasn’t just wasting his advance on them and decided to continue further. He flew again in direction of the beach. The Chaos wanted to go back and fight, each time his wings were flapping further away from his enemies, each time the Chaos seemed to be pushing needles into his brain. He stopped again in bushes making the Chaos calm down a little. He took advantage of it to take some deep breaths, and massaged his neck and temples. He had never stayed with the Chaos for so long. His strength was leaving him and he was hungry.
“They are not coming, those monsters they are scared and hiding, I am too powerful,” the Chaos yelled with pride.

Answers to last week's comments

The chaos always seems like it's going to get it total control any minute, right? I guess it will be a never ending battle to the end!

Here are my 6 sentences, we start where we left off last week, in a new Chapter! Here is chapter 4!

“They locked me again. I will kill them!” The Chaos yelled increasing the pain in Seti’s head, but Seti didn’t care anymore.
He was not listening. All he wanted was to see her and to make sure that it was safe.
He landed in a tree, near the street, and hid on a high branch behind leafs looking in direction of his house to see if somebody was following him.
“Let’s wait for them,” the Chaos said.
Seti stayed there staring at the street for few minutes.

I thing we all agree that those guys with Seti's father were really lovely. It makes me happy to see how many of you have been coming for this story every week like for ever and that at the end of chapter three we all totally agreed about the story.

Yes, only six sentences because...  End of chapter!

So as a bonus here is a picture! I made this doll this week and she totally looks like Amarelis a character of "Demon and Fairy" who you haven't met yet.

Nice to see that you discovered a new angle to look at Seti's father last week. He will explain himself later, I hope no question will be unanswered for the people who read the book.

“We’d better prepare for the worst,” the other one added.
“Yes, it is time to call the elders,” the first one answered turning around to leave.
“Is that it? Was that the plan? I trusted you when you said that locking him in his room was going to solve the problem, and now you are telling me that it was for nothing?” Seti’s father asked angrily.
“What did you expect? That some time in the dark was going to kill the evil inside him?” The man who had stayed said laughing. “He wasn’t supposed to get out of his room ever again, now he went out faster than expected. You should have called earlier when the Chaos manifested, now it had taken too much power over him.”

Answers to last week's comments

You're right, it looks like a lot of dark things are coming and that Seti needs Allies. Now the question is: Do you believe that Seti is dead and that the only thing remaining in is body is the Chaos? Or do you think these guys are mistaken?

His dark green eyes had become completely black with the headache. His face was hard. He smirked, looking at the men behind his father. He knew who they were, or at least the Chaos did. He felt its desire to jump on them, and clenched his fists at the window.
“Somewhere, I am sure I won’t hurt anyone?” he said with the Chaos voice giving his father a shiver, and he was gone before they even moved to catch him.
Seti, you...”
His father started running to the window.
“He won’t be back, the Chaos has taken possession of him, you can consider that your son is dead,” one of the men said.

Answers to last week's comments

"His father wouldn't hurt him" You said, hum, I'm not super sure about that. Does locking him up in a room count as hurting? Does ignoring him all his life count as hurting? One thing is his father is too much of a coward to beat him up, we have already seen that, but who are those guys with him?
Those guys sure are mysterious, but Seti might take care of them soon, or the Chaos will, or maybe it's time for Seti to get some allies, who knows. ;)

WeWriWar 89 Demon and Fairy

Welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday

Today I have an announcement to make. I created a new blog hop for Vampire Writer (and readers) if you want to join just add yourself to the Facebook group.
Let's continue our demon's story (I'll get to 100 Then hopefully you'll have my new novel to enjoy)!

Seti managed to open a hole in the wall while keeping the Chaos away but how long can he stay in control?

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Now that the Chaos has calmed down, Seti is looking for the way out.

He was so angry at everybody. He looked around, it seemed safe. He walked toward the corridor’s window and opened it. The fresh wind blew in his face, making him smile. He jumped on the border of the window extending his wings to keep his balance.
“Where do you think you are going?” His father was behind him with two men dressed with a long black clock, they had golden reversed Christian crosses drawn on their shirts and it seemed blood was leaking from them.
Seti turned his head over his left shoulder to look at his father.

Answer to last week's comments

Seti does feel pretty insane, he has someone literally living in his head. And yes, the Chaos has a plan, a very dark plan and he is not ready to let anyone know what it is. I think he likes to drive Seti nuts somehow.
And it would be easier for Seti if he also had a full time non-Chaos character around to help but so far that's not happening.

WeWriWar 88 Demon and Fairy

Hello everyone and welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

Let's continue our demon's story (I'll get to 100 Then hopefully you'll have my new novel to enjoy)!

For the past few weeks, Seti is trying to control the Chaos who wants to take over his body. We had some flash back to explain the relationship between Seti and the Chaos. Now Seti seems to be in control again but for how long?

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Now that the Chaos has calmed down, Seti is looking for the way out.

The hole was done. He continued to transform the molecules around, just to be sure.
“What do you mean?” The Chaos asked. For the first time it seemed that he didn’t have all the answers, and Seti was glad it had stopped to use the first person to talk about him, it made him feel insane.
“Read my mind,” Seti said, walking carefully out.
He didn’t want to meet anyone. He didn’t know how long he would be able to keep the Chaos inside him if someone arrived.

Answer to last week's comments

Yes, Seti is going to discover something big about himself and possibly others. I think it was the worse time possible to get out of the room because the Chaos doesn't seem like he is going to spit it out so easily.
But what is really Seti's true nature? Should he really embrace the Chaos and do as if everything was ok or is it better to struggle?

Hello everyone and welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the  Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

Let's continue our demon's story (I'll get to 100 Then hopefully you'll have my new novel to enjoy)!

Now Seti seems to be in control again but for how long?

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Now that the Chaos has calmed down, Seti is looking for the way out.

The hole was almost done. Seti wiped his forehead with his sleeve. The headache amplified and Seti finally understood the sentence the Chaos had said earlier when it had stopped yelling for once “It’s fighting against your true nature that’s hurting you.”
He was rebelling against the Chaos, against this other part of him that scared everyone around. Fighting against it, he was all alone, but if he didn’t, maybe he could have someone to rely on, maybe he could be able to rely on the Chaos.
Yes, I am you, be me,” the Chaos said with a cajoling voice.
But would you be me then?” Seti asked.
I  think Seti has a point, doesn't he?...

Answer to last week's comments

Someone managed to feel sorry for the Chaos... The Chaos is evil! But that was a sweet unusual comment still. :)
We used to have team Kelpie and team Seti are we going to have team Chaos as well?
Other than that, yes, Seti and the Chaos are fighting over the control of his body... Personally, I wouldn't like to be in there.

They deserve it. They deserved to be locked forever in the hole they made for me. All of them, my father who can’t protect me, my mother who can’t love me and my spoiled sister,” the Chaos was yelling again in his head.
I will go out and see her,” Seti said, pushing the Chaos deep inside his body.
I need to take revenge for everything they have been doing to me for the past twelve years, revenge is so sweet,” the Chaos said.
I will go see her and only her,” Seti answered, he needed her to get rid of the Chaos, it was too powerful for him to deal with it alone.
If I disappear, they won’t even notice, they cover me with indifference, I am nothing to them, I am not part of their family, they would be much happier without me and I will be much happier without them, I can get rid of them,” the Chaos said.
You could and would do it, but not me, I would be happier without you,” Seti said.
I am you, we are only one, it is all about me, it has always been,” the Chaos answered yelling even more than usual.

I thought Seti told the Chaos to stop talking in first person... I guess he didn't care so much...

I hope this turn in the narrative helps those who wanted things in Seti's own words. I can't let you in this head at all time, though, it's a little crowded in there, that would drive you nuts.  ;)

WeWriWar 85 Demon and Fairy

Hello everyone and welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the  Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

Let's continue our demon's story!

However, as Kallisto tries to touch him, he flies away back to his hidden place on the beach and listen to Kallisto's conversation with her best friend Kelpie who once again proposes to her and is refused. He started to dig faster. The power of the Chaos seemed to propagate in his whole body. He had called for it, he had needed it and not just for training this time. It was sufficient to give it more power over his strength. In a way, he wanted to hurt anyone who would come his way. Seti took a deep breath to regain the control. There were still people in this house he wouldn’t hurt. Even if sometimes he wanted to, even if they were giving him all the reasons to do it with their constant and repeated unfairness. He still couldn’t resolve to do something bad.

Will he ever control the Chaos without being in pain? I'm not sure. I hate headaches too.
