Welcome
to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.
Today I have an announcement to make. I created a new blog hop for Vampire Writer (and readers) if you want to join just add yourself to the Facebook group.
Let's continue our demon's story (I'll get to 100 Then hopefully you'll have my new novel to enjoy)!
In the previous episodes: Seti let the chaos got out of him as
the father of his sister's fiance threaten to break the engagement.
Wild, he flies to the beach to see the only person near whom he can get
rid of the Chaos without pain, the fairy Kallisto in the Human world
below his. He can only observe her through a tidal pool. But this time,
she is in danger. Trying to rescue her from a snake, Seti lands in the
world below. However, as Kallisto tries to touch him, he flies away back
to his hidden place on the beach and listen to Kallisto's conversation
with her best friend Kelpie who once again proposes to her and is
refused. Kallisto needs to choose between Kelpie or going back to the
fairy world to marry prince Kordelius. As the night comes, Kallisto goes
home and so does Seti and of course his parents are all weird...
(Remember, Seti used his forbidden power and left without an
explanation... ) Then Seti was mysteriously pushed in his room, in the
dark and apparently turned blind. For the past few weeks, Seti is trying
to control the Chaos who wants to take over his body. We had some flash
back to explain the relationship between Seti and the Chaos. Seti managed to open a hole in the wall while keeping the Chaos away but how long can he stay in control?
Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Now
that the Chaos has calmed down, Seti is looking for the way out.
He was so angry at everybody. He looked around, it seemed safe. He walked toward the corridor’s window and opened it. The fresh wind blew in his face, making him smile. He jumped on the border of the window extending his wings to keep his balance.
“Where do you think you are going?” His father was behind him with two men dressed with a long black clock, they had golden reversed Christian crosses drawn on their shirts and it seemed blood was leaking from them.
Seti turned his head over his left shoulder to look at his father.
Answer to last week's comments
Seti does feel pretty insane, he has someone literally living in his head. And yes, the Chaos has a plan, a very dark plan and he is not ready to let anyone know what it is. I think he likes to drive Seti nuts somehow.
And it would be easier for Seti if he also had a full time non-Chaos character around to help but so far that's not happening.

Oh wow, what a situation he's it. the father wouldn't hurt him, would he? And whose blood is it? Another great snippet!
ReplyDeleteWho are those men in the cloaks, it is very ominous sounding.
ReplyDeleteYou see to have a little typo "boarder of the window", I think it should be border.
Looking forward to next week, I need to find out more about those men.
Okay, that was truly scary, Linda! I have to wonder about his father??
ReplyDeleteDid you mean window "border"? English is so difficult with all of those homophones!
Good 8!
Oooh! Can't wait to see what happens!
ReplyDeleteYikes- those guys seem sinister! His dad must be really angry to resort to that. Poor Seti. :-(
ReplyDeleteI am rooting for Seti. He's fighting a powerful force within, at the same time he faces violence and pain from his father on the outside.
ReplyDeleteI would be freaking out if i saw that! Crazy. Can't wait to read more next week.
ReplyDeleteUh oh, I sure don't like the sound of his Dad's companions! You did a great job of describing them in ominous style...great snippet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the scene as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm... ominous...
