Let's get back where we left off with chapter 2 last week.
I sat back, he was pouring his okonomiyaki mix on the crepe machine.
“I told her not to date that guy, that he wasn't a good guy,” I said.
“That's not what I mean, what if people told you not to date me? Christa probably did and you didn't listen to her, why should she listen to you? Maybe you could try a more supportive approach.”
“That's not happening, I feel totally unable to being supportive of running to the lab without finishing work because your demanding boyfriend might dump you if you don't run at his every whim because that's what he did with his previous girlfriend. That's not a life. I lived that life for too long and it was painful and it's still painful to know that it's happening to someone else especially when that person is sitting in the same room as me all day long. I know he seems to treat her better than he treated me but still. I can't see it as good for her and I know she can make her own choice but I can't agree with this one. And it also make me wonder if she didn't want him and he didn't want her when we were together and just the thought of it makes me sick,” I said.
I had a ball in my stomach, I took another piece of okonomiyaki and poured my mix on the crepe machine, pushing Seiji's to make some space.
