WeWriWar 311: The House at the Crossing 16

Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!

I decided to change things a little bit so for the next few months, I'm going to present you my new WIP. It's called "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.
It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is.

Since it's a WIP, and I still haven't finished the first draft, it's still really row. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement as it goes.

Let's start right at where we left off last week!

The other me looks at me as if we had the same thought and that freaks me out.
“My daughter's name is Malicia,” she says. “Malicia and Ryan.”
“Mikala and Hiroshi,” I say.
“But you don't have a daughter,” the other one with the short hair says.
I look in the crib and there is a second form next to Hiroshi, something like a baby girl who seems to be blinking in and out of sight. I tried to grab her but she fully disappears. I can't handle this, did they make Malicia disappear, where is my baby girl.
The other me is holding her daughter as if she is afraid she is going to disappear too. Malicia but she doesn't look like Mikala at all she has a tuff of red hair, pink skin, freckles all around her nose.
Something is off.

  1. "Something is off." That may be the understatement of the century!

Great job showing the confusion and consternation.

  2. Agree with PT. Holy cow--I can't imagine what I'd do on that situation. I WOULD completely lose it., I think.
