Hello everyone !
She looked quickly at the sky like for finding a way to formulate it without betraying her secret, “… like if I was the most important thing around, each word you would say to me would make me feel as if I was the most important thing for you. But you don’t know how to do that because you don’t feel this way toward me,” she said, and she sighed in relief realizing that Kelpie was only partially listening and didn’t noticed her little slip of the tongue.
“Am I really doing that?” Seti asked himself.
“Of course, you are important for me,” Kelpie started to yell. “Why would I come here, every day, to see you, if you were not important for me? Why would I want to marry you if you were not important for me? Why would I want to fight against this stupid idiot of Kordelius for you if you were not freaking important to me?

I can hardly wait to hear her reaction to his response! :-) Looks like he was listening to her. :-) Great conflict! :-)
ReplyDeletegreat tension!
ReplyDeleteStrong dialogue and emotions -- a great excerpt!
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess she told him! Love the dynamics in this scene.
ReplyDeleteOh great tension :D I wonder what she will say next. The only thing I might change is the part with 'Kelpie started to yell' Maybe you could say, "Kelpie raised her voice" I just thought it was a little off for me, but I'll let you decide. Good snippet!
ReplyDeleteLove means different things to different people. It seems that the two of them have very different definitions of what love means.
ReplyDeleteThings are sure heating up! I'm waiting for Seti to open his mouth and say something. :) Speak up man! Go for the girl!
ReplyDeleteThe Murders of Polly Frisch
Great dynamics in the scene. Looking forward to hear what happens next.
ReplyDeleteThe language of love is NOT just one language--we all express it differently, don't we. Great job with illustrating this.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to find out the response! Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteKelpie is losing his temper...he still doesn't understand.
ReplyDeleteVery tense scene. Nice dynamics.
ReplyDeleteI loved Kelpie's response. I agree with P.T. that they seem to be coming for very different perspectives.
ReplyDeleteIs she looking at the sky, or for Seti?
