Wednesday Snippet 244: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

Isakael fists clenched, if he had ever wanted to punch someone in the face since Yue this was the one. The other angel grabbed his hand and opened the fist bending toward him to whisper in his ear.
“If you want your wings to stay white the time to get out of here you better keep those feelings in check. Now what does the demons want with souls and with the souls of colored angels in particular?” He asked.
“I don't know,” Isakael said.
“Don't be like that, until now you believed you were alone when there is a all bunch of us with the same problem,” the angel said, “that deserves a reward.”
“I don't have any problem, and I don't have a clue what you are talking about either,” Isakael said. He just realised that he hadn't seen anyone with colored wings and that the angel could be bluffing to get him to admit his wings were turning black.
The other looked at him and sighed releasing his hand and letting his arm fall unblocking the way.
“If you can't trust me, I wonder who you will ever trust,” he said. “Do as you wish but stay away from the demon world if you care for your life.”
Isakael didn't answer. They looked at each other's face for a while then the angel turned around and Isakael watch him walked away. The others were already discussing a plan to get to the demon world with as few risk as possible. There was no stopping them now.
Isakael never intended to go to the demon world, he knew people who went there every day and could tell him what was going on there if he'd ask. But he was also convinced that Jezabel was no way near it either.

About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

“My cloak,” Brownie said.
Grenadine laughed.
“I don't even know why anyone would have one of those, very witchy and everyone is going to notice you,” she said.
“I can't help it, I'm going somewhere very special, and it's a witch journey anyway. I'll keep it in my bag until I need it. It also works as a blanket if it gets cold.”
“Are you sure it's safe, I mean, for you to go alone? With everything that happened and all,” Grenadine said.
“It's an initiatory journey, those are better done alone, and beside I can't be counting on other people for the rest of my life, at some point, I need to be independent and strong by myself.”
“Well, I guess you've got the strong part nailed,” Grenadine said. “Can I get your orange jumper while you're away, I'll give it back when you return of course.”
“If I see one stain of paint on it, I'll make you eat Sedana's wand,” Brownie said.
“Deal!!” Grenadine said hugging the jumper.
Brownie fold her black clock the last time she had worn it was months ago when she had decided to go to the demon world wrecking of fish smell, not knowing the power of the medallion that she was wearing just now. It had take for ever to remove all the fish's pieces she had scattered in every pockets of her clothes and it had been smelling for a while even after several wash. She was had been a different person back then, so many things had happen since. There was no rest with demons around, they would attack you every day if they didn't have to think of a new was of doing it. And the Fairies didn't seem to be much better. Something huge was going on and she didn't have the first idea what it was or where it started or where it was going. But that wasn't her problem, right now she needed to take care of herself and that started with getting out of here before Sahel came back. Did he really believe that she could go so far without him smelling her or hearing her? She had to held her breath when she hid near the window when he came out after her to be sure that he wouldn't hear her breathing. That was crazy, he was a demon he should have heard. She didn't know how she felt that he didn't. Sure he was out looking for her but at the same time, he didn't manage to find her when it seems so easy. Maybe he was already back in the Demon World, she almost wished he was, that would be better for him.

Mystery Monday 33: Harajuku Kiss

Welcome Mystery Monday. For this weekly writing blog post, I will be presenting snippets of my novel Harajuku Kiss, a mystery romance in Japan.
I hope you'll enjoy following our heroine through her thoughts and adventures.

About Harajuku Kiss

At times, life can be so depressing. She is walking her usual recovery tour in Harajuku, finishing with a crepe, trying to forget that her boyfriend dumped her once again for the week-end... When the unthinkable happens... A boy stops in front of her in the street and kisses her, in the middle of the street, before running away.
Trying to discover more about him, she is dragged into a dangerous game of mystery. A biologist has been murdered and a deadly virus is on the loose. First suspect: the mysterious Harajuku's stranger.

Here is the snippet for this week

“Save me,” he said looking at me straight in the eyes, the soul stealing motion.

If my soul hadn’t already been stolen, he would have taken it. Instead, my soul seemed to reappear in my chest with this huge pouring sound my heart made in my ear drums. He pulled me closer with both arms around me and kissed me. He then pulled away, smiled lightly, looked back once more and raced again in the opposite direction.

WeWriWar 304: The House at the Crossing 9

Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!

I decided to change things a little bit so for the next few months, I'm going to present you my new WIP. It's called "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.
It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is.

Since it's a WIP, and I still haven't finished the first draft, it's still really row. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement as it goes.

Let's start right at where we left off last week!

“Well, well, it seems that you are a bit fragmented,” she smiles and I can see that all her teeth are lined up in two perfect rows. “Don't worry, a few days here and that will pass.”
She moves out of the way and waits until all three of us are in before she closes the door.
“Wait, you can see them,” me and the other me with the short hair say at once.
Aunt Teresa just smiles and the others look at each other. I think: “I didn't think you were real” but one of the other me says it, the one who has both her twins.
“I think we all need a good cup of tea,” Aunt Teresa says.
