Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!
I
decided to change things a little bit so for the next few months, I'm
going to present you my new WIP. It's called "The House at the Crossing"
and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.
It
follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into
the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the
house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first
time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new
role and the new version of who she is.
Since it's a WIP, and I still haven't finished the first draft, it's still really row. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement as it goes.
“Well,
well, it seems that you are a bit fragmented,” she smiles and I can
see that all her teeth are lined up in two perfect rows. “Don't
worry, a few days here and that will pass.”
She
moves out of the way and waits until all three of us are in before
she closes the door.
“Wait,
you can see them,” me and the other me with the short hair say at
once.
Aunt
Teresa just smiles and the others look at each other. I think: “I didn't think you
were real” but one of the other me says it, the one who has both
her twins.
“I
think we all need a good cup of tea,” Aunt Teresa says.

A cup of tea is always a good start. Still confusing, but still intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI dunno. I might be worried about what's in the tea--and if it will lead to even more confusion. :-) Can aunt Teresa be trusted??
ReplyDeleteTea will fix everything-I like Aunt Teresa! Great snippet and I had to chuckle when she comments "it seems you're a bit fragmented..."
ReplyDeleteSomething strange is going on here . . .
ReplyDeleteAh well, a cup of tea does fix everything! (Although it might have its work cut out in this particular situation, I think! :))
ReplyDeleteYep, tea is a cure-all. Intriguing snippet.
