Vlog #88: Tour of the Mirai Store (Smart Dolls!)

Today I have something really special for you. Something I was asked for but also something I meant to do for a while: Visit the Mirai Store!
I found out that the Mirai store was near Shinagawa (yes, not Akihabara duh!) So since I had to go to Shinagawa to get my visa paper work done, I decided to take the opportunity to stop at the Mirai store at the same time.
It was my first time at the Mirai store and it was sort of my first time seeing smart dolls from so close. I mean I saw them at doll events before but there was always to many people for me to get close to them enough to have a detail look and take good picture.
Well today was my lucky day. The Mirai Store has a lot of doll exposed in all shape, color and with different outfit and I could take as many pictures as I wanted.
I also wanted to talk to Danny Choo but I had a heavy crisis of shyness and didn't figure out how to introduce myself. I guess I was also a bit starstruck. I'll try to do better next time. (I still have to go back to pick up my visa, hehe)
I'm still not sure which Smart Doll I want (all of them? :) ). But for some reason Ikki was really interested in knowing which one I like the best... he didn't take notes though so I'm not sure what he meant by that. (Yes, he generally takes notes, then I end up with giant teddy bears...)

New Year's Day Lucky Bag from the Azone Store!

As usual on New Year's Day, we went to the Azone store to pic up some lucky bags. I was unfortunately too late for the 1/6, 1/12, assault Lily bag but I managed to get the Azone 50cm bag, so a lot of new stuff for Aane who is definitely my most spoiled doll. 

And I also got the Happy New Year Maya regular version. I will get hopefully the limited doll show version at the doll show next week. 

We also went to Suruga-ya, it was my first time in their physical store and I got Nendoroid Vocaloid Kaito. I always thought he was super cute and he was kind of cheap so I couldn't resist. Anyway, enjoy the video.

Vlog #86: I ♥ doll 51 (photo coverage)

After a very bad Saturday, I decided to go to I ♥ doll 51 (for real) on Sunday.

This time there were a lot of different company than the one that are usually here. A lot of Chinese and Korean company were present.

Of course as usual, I took pictures of all the dolls.

There was really a lot of thing to see and I found two new company that I really like because they have unusual dolls. My poor wallet is going to suffer.

Anyway I think the big news that everyone was waiting for is: "Harmonia Bloom is coming out!!!"

They will be available on Goodsmile's website.

I don't know the price or if it's a direct order or pre-order yet, I guess we'll all find out on Thursday!

Vlog #81 Edogawabashi and Akihabara: Books, dolls and Kachapon

Today, I went to Edogawabashi for the Bouquinerie Solidaire which is a charity book sale, mostly in French. I wanted to go there for a while but I actually missed the first time because of the rain and then forgot about it until I discovered an email this morning.

I managed to find a few books. If I can read them all by the end of next month, I'll go back to the event since it's held every 4th Sunday of the month.

Then I went to the Azone store in Akihabara. They have transferred the Kikipop festival dolls over there. And they have a few more so I wanted to take a look. I brought dolls with me to take pictures, just in case they had the dinner set up again but they didn't.

I also took pictures of the rest of the display. They still have some of the Otogi no Kuni excutes, as well as the new release with swapped outfit, and the Sahra's a la mode in the otogi no kuni outfit on display. Since I hadn't seen them, that was really nice.

Then I decided to go to the Volks store on floor above. I don't go there very often because normally you can't take pictures. They have changed the entire set up of the store and I was able to take pictures and film there. It was fantastic. They have a lot more dolls than before too and more space to take pictures of your own dolls. It's not called the Volks store anymore, it's called Doll point and it's for having fun on top of buying doll stuff. True it was fun.

I also checked out other store so you can see some pullip footage. And I bought some kachapon which I open at the end of the vlog video.

I♥doll 50: Photos, Pullip News and Harmonia Bloom! (with video)

Welcome to a new video. Yesterday, I went to I♥doll.

My main goal for the day was to see the new Harmonia Bloom dolls by Goodsmile and I wasn't disappointed, they were all there and super cute. Goodsmile was also presenting their new Nendoroid x doll hybrids.

Then I checked out the little rabbits by Pipos and Cocoriang. They are so adorable. I wouldn't be amazed if I end up with one of those in the future.

I also managed to get the pullip steampunk mad hatter who was the last doll missing in my Steampunk Alice collection.

Lil'fairy expo at the Azone store (with video)

I went to pick up The Limited Alisa Meow Meow a la mode from the azone store yesterday and at the same time, I took pictures of the current lil'fairy expo. They show the lil'fairy in their original version, dressed with picco neemo clothes, some prototypes, some diorama and also the new series to be release from May to July. I love the lil'fairy. 

The only one I don't have in the original version is the Doll Show limited Eruno azone helper. I voted for her in the lil'fairy contest to have her remade but she didn't win so I'll have to find her some other way. 

They didn't show the coordinate versions. They have a school girl coordinate and a new coordinate for the photo contest which I don't know if it's going to be a contest price only or if they are also going to come out. If they do, I'll be sure to grab the new Lipu, Eruno and Vel. I also took pictures in the store, especially of the new Kikipops.

Doll Show 50 and Azone lucky bags haul (with video)

Yesterday, I went to the doll show and this time I took a lot of pictures for you guys.

In this video you will see all the new azone releases which are so cute that I want them all and you will also see a lot of bjds, fashion dolls and other cute stuff.

Then at the end of the video I'll show you what I came home with. Not only the Limited Lycee Meow Meow a la mode but also 3 azone lucky bags with a lot of cute doll stuff inside.

I♥doll: Atelier Momoni interview (with video)

This video is a bit special because it's my first interview. I reached out to Lola on here facebook page and asked her if we could meet at the I-doll 49. She said yes and agreed to have a small video taken. At first I didn't know if that was going to be part of the usual video I make for event or a video on its own but I decided to have this special Momoni doll video.

The photos presented were taken from her booth at the I-doll event. She was selling clothes and dolls. She had been making clothes for a long time and started making dolls because she wanted to turn her illustration into dolls and wasn't satisfied with the doll you can find in the market.

Momoni dolls are really precious fantastic bjds. They are super cute with a nice sweet smile, offer a really wide ranges of motion and are very posable. They are created with a special technique which leaves them seam less. I was really impressed and I got to take one in my hand. Lola offers four different types of dolls ranging from 16cm to 40cm, in a large variety of skin tone.

I♥doll: Groove Workshop (Limited Pullip Veritas) with video

As you know, I went to I♥doll. Groove was having their first workshop ever and I totally had to go there and try. I missed the first but I was lucky enough to get a sit for the second one in the afternoon.

Basically we were sitting at a table and building up a pullip.

First we had to chose the face plate we liked the best so we didn't actually learn to do face up, just building and dressing up a pullip.

We also chose eyelids and eye color. The eyechips were already placed in the mechanism.

Then was the building part. I first got in trouble when my spring decide not no stay attached to the eyelid, then I had a little screw problem and actually had to change three. But I finally managed to build up my doll.

Then it was time to give her a wig, an outfit and some accessory.

Incidentally, the face up I chose was the face plate of the very limited pullip Veritas. At first I thought it might be cat woman or another tan doll, then I saw the eye lids she was supposed to have originally and one of them had Veritas written on it.

The wig and outfit of Veritas was also around but I didn't really try to rebuild the original, that might have been another kind of fun but not really the plan for the day so I picked her her own outfit and her own unique style.

I'm really happy with the way she turned out. I might come across her original outfit some other time, who knows.

Vlog #66: I♥doll or not? What the hell am I doing? (with video)

Today, the plan was to go to I♥doll but first I had to go vote to the embassy, then I thought that I♥doll was going to be well, where I♥doll always is, at Tokyo Big Sight except it wasn't so I got a bit lost in the doll world.

When I finally made it, I took the interview with Lola from Atelier Momoni and participated to the one hour and a half long Groove Workshop: "Let's make pullip."

So I didn't have time to take doll pictures like I usually do. I have to say that I'm pretty happy with my day and that was a nice change of enjoying a doll event at least for me. I hope you'll enjoy this video and the two others covering the event.

Azone Store: Maya Meow Meow, Cinderella Pullip and Nico Expo (with video)

Today I went to the azone store to get the limited version of Maya Meow Meow a la mode. I ordered the regular version on amiami so she should be coming home soon.

The Maya Meow Meow a la mode were supposed to come out at the end of March but were delayed. It happens often with azone dolls, they are not delayed by a lot but they generally by a few days or a week. I was really impatient to get this doll so when I saw the twit, I jumped in my trousers to go and get her.

At the azone store they had a few changes in the usual display and they are also having the Nico expo since the two excute collaboration dolls with Nico for their work commemoration are coming out on the 15th. So I also took some pictures of that.

And of course, as promised, I took some pictures of the new pullip Cinderella and the Isul from Touken ranbu.

Getting Illumie at the Azone store + Ruruko Expo (with video)

Today Azone's Twitter announced that Illumie was being released and that they had some of her left for grab in store. So I decided to jump on the train and to go grab her.

I was really lucky has they still had a lot of her to sell.

Of course, as usual I took a lot of pictures for you guys inside of the azone store. They have a lot of cute stuff going on. They also had a sort of Ruruko, momoko and pet works expo going on with the dolls from 2017.

Then I went to several store and I found two more dolls second hand. One is the extra sweet sweet a la mode Yuzuha. Since there is 10 but actually 11 with the 1.1 version. The other is Koron Little witch version 1.1 too I guess I was in the 1.1 mood.

So now I can really say that I have all the sweet sweet girls and my little witch koron also has her sister/friend, I haven't decided yet.

Doll Show 49 in Asakusa (with video)

Today was the Dolll Show 49. Once again they changed the location and put it in Asakusa instead of Ikebukuro. This is sort of nice for me since it's only about 30 minutes away from where I now live.

The doll show was pretty big since instead of the usual two floors, it was help on fourth floor, the last floor being for putting your own doll like a doll meeting and have some food. It was the first time they actually had ood present normally you would have to go out to eat something.

Strangely, there weren't many big company represented. Actually Groove and Cu-poche generally show up but they weren't around this time.

Azone had their usual announcement, they presented the new character azone 50cm, the new Alisa and Lycee Meow Meow a la mode which all have a sort of purplish color involved. Then they finally introduced Aoto and Yuta Otogi no Kuni which I have been waiting for for so long. They also have a new Snow White and a new Alice tea party doll in this series. I'm thinking that I might need to get them both so I'm not very sure. Then there is the new Adventure Steampunk collection doll, which are coming out in April and May. This is pretty exciting. I'll probably have some comparison pictures as they apparently made changes on their faces since the last announcement.

I went a bit over board with taking pictures with 428 in total so this video is pretty long. I'm giving my impression at the end if you want to skip parts.

Sahra's a la mode expo at the Azone Store Akihabara (with video)

Yesterday I went to the Azone store for the Sahra's a la mode exposition. They had all the Sahra's ever created in there so it was a really nice time down Sahra's history line. Of course I took pictures of everything for you to see.
The general Sahra's expo finished today but the Meow Meow expo started two days ago and will continue for a little bit apparently. Though they only have Sahra and Maya, if you are like me waiting for the next announcement, it will probably happen at the doll show on the 20th and I'll report everything to you.
They also had a few diorama in place so I brought a few dolls and took a lot of pictures of them in there. You might recognise diorama from the Twinkle, Pink Pink and Sweet Sweet series.
Of course I also took a tour of the store and some pictures of what they generally have there.

Nendoroid: Yuki Miku Twinkle Snow ver 2017, Box Opening and Review (with video)

This little nendoroid has been prisoner of her box since I bought her at the Wonfes 2017 Winter so I think it's about time I take her out of her box. I wanted to take her out of her box straight after the wonfes but things came up and I have to admit I was a bit scared of not knowing how to deal with her. Anyway, today is the day.

She is a lot heavier than expected. She comes with so many things. Little instruments and extra body part, a table, a stay for her and one for her pet rabbit. She is really one cool little doll. Though I'm not sure if she is consider a figure or a doll. I guess I see her as a doll since she is articulated. She can also change face which I think is awesome and adorable.

She is my first nendoroid but I doubt she will be the last.

Wonfes Winter 2017 in pictures (with pictures)

Yesterday I went to the Wonder Festival at Makuhari Messe. Wonder Festival or Wonfes, is an event for figures of all kind and some dolls. There are big companies like Good smile, Volks or Azone showcasting their future releases and there are also individual people selling some of their stuff or home made products.

This time, I went there because I wanted the new Nendoroid Snow Miku Twinkle version. She is my first nendoroid. I was up for a late start and was worried not to make it before she went sold out but I still managed to get her and the Figma version too. I will be opening them in other video.

Wonfes is a very large event so it was a bit hard to record everything and to take pictures of everything but I did my best to cover as large a part as I could. I hope you enjoyed the video.

Doll Show 48 photos video

Today, I went to the Doll Show 48. I went there really early to be able to get my Yuzuha Happy New Year so that now I have the pair. I wanted to see the next Otogi no Kuni dolls but unfornately, azone didn't announce any. They announced the new Kikipop who look like little boys so I'm really happy about that and they also announced the new line of Sahra's a la mode which is truly too adorable to pass on.

I took way too many pictures so even though they are all present in the video, I made different albums on facebook to keep things tidier.

Trip to the azone store, special Black Raven expo (with video)

I went to the Azone store yesterday. There were having the special Azone 50cm Black Raven event. Black Raven Dolls are characters from Azone line of 50cm doll. There are four characters Luluna, Amane, Cecily, Lilia. I think all version were at the expo. You can find a list here (though it doesn't have the limited dolls unless you click on the individual pictures.)

I like the azone 50cm but for the moment I haven't resolved myself into getting more than one.

They are really awesome to look at though.

Then there were also 4 special versions, one for each characters called the winter date. Those are ooak version that are going to be sold I think through a lottery.

As usual I also took the opportunity to take pictures of the other dolls exposed in the store which include the excute otogi no kuni, pureneemo with different outfits, lil'fairies, pullip and the newest azone 50cm release Nanaka.

Azone store and Autumn photo session (with video)

I went to Akihabara's azone store to get the Minami mermaid doll. I had to go super early because I was afraid the dolls were going to be gone soon. I arrived a bit before the opening of the store and queue to get my dolls. I managed to get both as there weren't so many people in front of me.

The azone store had a lot of display of doll houses so it was fun to watch. As usual I also took pictures of the normal display, though not of the doll who were on display at my last trip. If you want to see those, check this other video. 

Then, I went to buy two other azone doll form a second hand store because I saw them there before and they were a lot cheaper and I walked to Tokyo station and the imperial palace where I took some pictures of Pullip Amelia and Kiki Marmelade Brown. AK-garden 1/12 doll show in Asakusa

Yesterday I went to AK-garden. Ak-garden used to be this tiny little doll show for 1/12 dolls a few years back and this time around it was really huge and on two floor. There were a lot of interesting things including a 120cm doll, I know that's crazy and definitely not 1/12.

Azone was presenting their Azzault lily line and also the new lil'fairy Nelly for January. I got myself a  lil'fairy dress and a miniature centaurs that I need to build.

I also got a clear file from Azone for no reason what so ever, these guys are so cool.
