I think the title predicts that there will be a bit of ranting in this post so you have been warned.

I think fish memory is going to be the end of humanity anytime soon, that's an ever progressing epidemic that seems to have been unnoticed so far even though I'm confronted to it every day.

First I should define what I call "Fish memory".
Even though eating fish, give you a lot of DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid), fishes have a very bad memory like commonly people believe that it's about 3 secs or something like that. (In fact the memory span of a fish is more of about three months, which is not too long either)
Anyway what I call fish memory is when you are talking about something with someone or doing something with them and the next day they seem to have forgotten about it.

At first I really thought that people were doing it on purpose, that seems so impossible. They ask you something and the next day they will ask you again as if they didn't even listen to you. Or they will ask you to do something for them and forget that they did and ask again one hour later.
But in fact it seems that people really forgot.
I don't know where it's coming from. Are they just not paying attention? Is it that they don't care ? I'm not really sure, but the fact is, it seems to be spreading with increasing speed and people seem to be able to forget the same thing several time in a row.

タイヨウのうた (Song of the Sun)

タイヨウのうたis a japanese drama in 10 episodes from 2009. I already talked about the movie coming from the same story here.


















Kaoru Amane dreams of becoming a singer. She started to play the guitar when a boy abandoned his guitar in front of her bedroom at the hospital where she is treated for XP, a decease that forbid her to enter in contact with the sun. As her friend brought her a video of her day she sees the boy from the guitar again before meeting him as she is singing in the street. Then a love story will start. But he is caught up by his past and she is followed by the curse of the sun.

This drama is a lesson of courage because no matter how bad things are Amane will never give up on things and people she loves. I really like the music as well.

不能說的秘密 is a romantic Taiwanese movie from 2007 directed, written and played by the musician Jay Chou.

Ye Xianglun is a piano student who just transfer 淡江中學 (Tamkang (Danjiang) Secondary School), a school famous for talented musician, especially in piano. On his first day he meets Lu Xiaoyu another piano student playing a strange melody on the oldest piano of the school. She told him that it is a secret, and that he should never play this melody on this piano pretexting that it's not good enough. They start a mysterious relationship as Lu Xiaoyu seems to be sick and often disappears. When a mis-passed notes leads to Xianglun to accidentally kiss Qing Yi, Xiaoyu disappears again leading Xianglun to look for her, she comes back for graduation before disappearing again leading Xianglun to discover her secret. However the old piano room is to soon be destroyed.



I really like this movie because the music is beautiful and the story is also touching and funny at time. The character of Lu Xiaoyu is captivating due to her secret and she face the incomprehension of a lot of people including her mother and teacher who she trusted. Also even if he doesn't understand everything Xianglun is always trying his best to be there for her. There are very interesting musical part such as for example the piano battle.

Vlog : How this blog started.

I decided as a new year resolution to make a video a week. You can already see the problem, or if you don't check the date. Anyway after procrastinating on doing it, I finally decided to do it, today. It's a bit incredible how things that you imagine are going to take for ages actually don't take that much time in the end.

I don't really have rules for the videos. This time it's all about how I started this blog. Next time I'm not sure. I think I would just follow my mood. You can always remind me to do something if you don't get a video next week.

I'm not really comfortable taking video, lack of practice I think. I also realized that I make grammar mistakes while speaking so you'll have to bear with it. And I'm speaking really slowly as well. I guess it will get better with time.
