WeWriWar 386: Sun Kiss 9

Hello everybody!

Welcome to a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday

You can find the snippet from the other participants in the blog hops in the Snippet Sunday facebook group and on the  Weekend Writing Warrior's blog.

This week, we are back right where we left off last week:

There was nothing else that would fly into her window. The demons knew better than this and if they didn't, the barrier would have taken care of them already. What else could be flying? An angel? There hadn't been many angel around and they weren't likely to come over seeing the amount of demons in the house. Her mind was racing. There was only one way to know. The thing had slipped along the wall so she should be safe going closer and the window didn't look broken either, at least not from where she sat.

Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 374

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.
Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last time.

I was in a bad position. Too many feet were still turned toward me, all around the carriage. They were taking Alexei away. It would have been a lot easier to get him from the three hunter than from twenty Jägers. They were better trained, they had a purpose other than money and they were passably insane. I grabbed the side of the carriage on both side hoping that my fingers wouldn't be notice and I tried to fix my legs bellow it but there was no use. As the carriage started to move away I was dragged away, my heels on the muddy floor. I let go as soon as I couldn't spot any feet anymore. The mud made my fall silent but I was lucky not to be run over by the turning back wheels. Not really the evening I had expected but all considering, I was near the church and at least I was better prepared for what was inside. I stood up and tried to brush as much wet mud as I could from my back and legs but that wasn't really possible. My clothes felt twice heavier, not telling that I was also wet. I walked to the church's door, expecting things to get harder from there but surprisingly the gate and the door were opened.

Thursday Fiction 363: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

“Hello Clara,” Romulus said. “Do you remember what we talked about?”

“Of course, she is here,” Clara said.

Romulus smiled.

“Come out, Isabelle, we need to talk.”

It was a strange feeling to know that her other self knew she was here, she had never really though about it before, she believed that her other self only knew she was around when she took control of their body but apparently Clara had been aware of her.

“I can't stay, I have a tracker and my mother will be here soon,” Isabelle said in a rush.

“Calm down, it's alright, and Romulus really like you, me, well us, don't worry everything is going to be all right,” Clara's voice said in her head. That was the first time she heard her other self speak to her, the first time she had communicated with them at all. Clara laughed at the thought.

“It's alright, she can't reach you here, Oris is a safe place and we'll take care of that tracking,” Romulus said.

“How?” Isabelle asked.

Wednesday Snippet 365: Fairy World 6

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week

"It's DNA, but I think you missed my explanation," Azazel said smirking. "And maybe the fact that we are not linked to this world magically but I can't verify that."

He walked in front of everybody back to the sort of small road they had been walking on.

"Now, let's get the queen," he said. "She might be out of magic too and I will love to see that."

Apostos followed him.

"Are you sure you know what you are doing?"

"She is sucking your world dry, I'm sure we'll find a lot of magic where she is," Azazel said, "then we'll replenish this world and get rid of her so that the rightful queen can take the power."

"You seem so confident," the centaur said pushing the branches in front of him as he walked.

"That's the only thing I can do and there is the prophesy, it might be talking about me as Seti is out," Azazel answered.

"I thought it was about the phoenix," Apostos answered.

"Sahel, nah, no way," Azazel said. The truth was he didn't care if the prophesy was about him or not anymore. There were things to fix and the only way for him to keep moving was to go and fix them. Being stuck in this world was the worse thing he could have ever imagine, the food was awful. He just wished Evalynn was alright at Sahel's and wouldn't go back to the sanctuary without him. If this world was in such Chaos, he wondered how much the other worlds were affected.
