Welcome to Tuesday Travel. Every Tuesday, I will be presenting an excerpt of Witch Raising: The Book of Fire, the book in which Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul, is undertaking an initiatory journey.
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt, we start where we left off last week
"So you take the front and I take the back to make sure none of them escape. They might come running toward you so be prepared."
"What about me?" Josh said.
"I need something to help carry the supplies then you can go where ever you want," Brownie said.
"Hum, ok," Josh said.
"Let's go," Samantha said.
She seemed to feel like she was in charge and that's exactly what Brownie wanted.
"So I wait half an hour and we both cast," Samantha said.
"Better wait until all the possible human target are out of range," Brownie said.
"Yeah, agreed," Samantha said. "It doesn't even matter if we are in sink anyway, as we are aiming for confusion."
"Exactly," Brownie answered.
Samantha disappeared in their room and Brownie waited for her to come back out and be on her way to try to find a supply store.
"What's going on?" Josh asked.
"I needed her gone, that's what's going on," Brownie said.
"Why?" Josh asked.
