Wednesday Snippet 232: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“I was send by the angels' conceal. Ezekiel, the high angel in charge of my department gave me a letter for the fairy queen and said that I should come to this world. That the fairy queen was used to deal with people having my sort of problem and that she would help me. But on the way I heard that the people of light had been attacked by demons. I met some fairies who thought I was a demon too and attacked me, which is the reason why I'm in that state. It took a lot of convincing to explain to them that I was an angel and I cured a lot of them to prove that I didn't lie. Then I managed to reach the castle but the fairy queen I was looking for wasn't in charge anymore and the new queen didn't know what I was talking about. It took some more time to get to the former queen fairy, she seemed really sick when I arrived but there was unfortunately nothing I could do for her. Then she brought me here,” the angel said.
“The angels' conceal sent you here,” Kelpie said.
“Yes, Ezekiel said I was to do everything the queen fairy ordered me and that it would not fail to cure my wings,” she answered.
“Did you read that letter?” He asked.
“Of course not, I am not supposed to do that, it's indiscreet,” she answered. She was looking at him strangely as if he was indecent to have even suggested it. She didn't seem to realise that she had been locked in prison and that there were very slim chances for her to get away.
“They played you,” Kelpie said.

Tuesday Travel 21: Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Welcome to the first Tuesday Travel post. Every Tuesday, I will be presenting an excerpt of Witch Raising: The Book of Fire.

About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

“Do you listen to yourself? I'm not asking you to listen to each other because that's a lost cause but do you know how ridiculous you sound to an outsider?” Dylan said facing them. He took his best winning voice. “You're an addict, no I'm not, yes you are, no I'm not, you have a problem with magic, no I don't, yes you do, no I don't, I'll stop you, no you won't, It's over, no it's not. Seriously people just grow up!”
“But she does have an addiction to magic and she needs to stop using it right now,” Sahel said. Maybe if he could manage to talk sense into the vampire he would have an ally to help Brownie.
“Shut up, Sahel, you don't have a clue what you are talking about,” Dylan said.
That made Brownie smile so she hid half of her face behind her cup of tea. The last waffle in the machine was cold by now and she turned the heat to just warm it a little.
“She spend all her time...”
“I told you to shut up, you're going to put your ass down on that chair and open your damn demon ears,” Dylan said.
He crossed his arms in from out himself. He had thought he could just bite in the bag but if he had to do the talking he was going to need a cup. Why the hell did he always have to be at the center of other people's problems?
He waited for Sahel to sit down before he made his move to the cupboard. He needed a big mug, because this was going to take some times.
He poured half of the blood in the cup and zipped the bag tight, no need to have blood spilling everywhere, they would probably make him clean it up.

Mystery Monday 21: Harajuku Kiss

Welcome Mystery Monday. For this weekly writing blog post, I will be presenting snippets of my novel Harajuku Kiss, a mystery romance in Japan.
I hope you'll enjoy following our heroine through her thoughts and adventures.

About Harajuku Kiss

At times, life can be so depressing. She is walking her usual recovery tour in Harajuku, finishing with a crepe, trying to forget that her boyfriend dumped her once again for the week-end... When the unthinkable happens... A boy stops in front of her in the street and kisses her, in the middle of the street, before running away.
Trying to discover more about him, she is dragged into a dangerous game of mystery. A biologist has been murdered and a deadly virus is on the loose. First suspect: the mysterious Harajuku's stranger.

Here is the snippet for this week

Present, Harajuku

Typical week-end for me, history tends to repeat itself. I had been dumped once again. As far as I remembered, guys always invented wonderful excuses to get rid of me, but his one lacked creativity.

I was walking in Harajuku, my favorite place when I'm not sure how to deal with my confused emotions anymore.

Walking in a crowd never helps me get better, happy faces depress me and help me drown into self pity. If you watch people in a crowd, you realize they are nothing more than passing shadows.

WeWriWar 294: Demon Soul

Welcome to a new excerpt of DEMON SOUL for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday

Pre-Plot:
Brownie is a normal girl, or so she thinks. She likes to chat with her sisters about random things, she likes fashion and she is member of the fashion club at school. But one day, as her little brother gets really sick because of a curse placed on him, she meets this really strange guy who cures him absorbing the baby's sickness within himself. As he is about to fall from his new acquired fever, Brownie sees Yue's soul and immediately falls in love with him. But Yue is not a human, Yue is a demon.
Brownie and Yue will built their love story until....

Plot:
Until Yue's soul is stolen. There is nothing left of their love. The purple light dancing in Yue's grey eyes is gone. Forever? Not quite. Brownie is desperate to find it back. And to get a soul stolen by demons, she needs to go deep into dark magic! But Brownie is not a witch, she is just looking for a spell powerful enough to bring her love back. When an amateur starts playing with strong magic without preparation and without caring for the consequences, things turn wrong...

Let's start right where we left off last week!

“I see. I’ve wanted to go buy some candles for my room. I used most of them last week but we can always split and meet in the centre once we’re done.”
“Oh, I wanted to go to the new shop for ages,” Grenadine said.
Hitomi giggled. This new shop had already been open for three months but each time Grenadine wanted to go there she always ended up spending all her money on coloured pencils, paint and sketch notebooks.
She pushed Grenadine with her elbow. “This time we’re going to go there first, I love that shop,” she said.
