Tuesday Travel 21: Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Welcome to the first Tuesday Travel post. Every Tuesday, I will be presenting an excerpt of Witch Raising: The Book of Fire.

About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

“Do you listen to yourself? I'm not asking you to listen to each other because that's a lost cause but do you know how ridiculous you sound to an outsider?” Dylan said facing them. He took his best winning voice. “You're an addict, no I'm not, yes you are, no I'm not, you have a problem with magic, no I don't, yes you do, no I don't, I'll stop you, no you won't, It's over, no it's not. Seriously people just grow up!”
“But she does have an addiction to magic and she needs to stop using it right now,” Sahel said. Maybe if he could manage to talk sense into the vampire he would have an ally to help Brownie.
“Shut up, Sahel, you don't have a clue what you are talking about,” Dylan said.
That made Brownie smile so she hid half of her face behind her cup of tea. The last waffle in the machine was cold by now and she turned the heat to just warm it a little.
“She spend all her time...”
“I told you to shut up, you're going to put your ass down on that chair and open your damn demon ears,” Dylan said.
He crossed his arms in from out himself. He had thought he could just bite in the bag but if he had to do the talking he was going to need a cup. Why the hell did he always have to be at the center of other people's problems?
He waited for Sahel to sit down before he made his move to the cupboard. He needed a big mug, because this was going to take some times.
He poured half of the blood in the cup and zipped the bag tight, no need to have blood spilling everywhere, they would probably make him clean it up.
