Wednesday Snippet 175: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“I think I like Nephil girls,” Samira whispered to Torin who couldn't help laughing.
In the Watcher side of town, Taram wouldn't have so much trouble with a girl.
Taram was becoming a little bit more pressing though and the girl moved away in their direction. She threw a strange look at Torin while walking pass them and back to Taram. They were looking alike except that everything in Taram was white, he could almost have looked sick as if the blood had left his checks long ago making his blue eyes almost glow in the middle of his face while Torin face was a little tanned as if he had stayed playing outside too long as a kid.
“Wait,” Taram said, “I didn't mean that actually, I mean I saw you at the school few days ago, you're the girl who lost control of her power during the test for the Earth power and transformed into a tree. I mean I don't know how you did it but that was great.”
The girl stopped for a second as if she was considering answering him but decided other wise and continued moving away. Taram made a move to stop her by the arm.
“Touch her and you're dead, she's mine,” a heavy voice said behind him.
The girl smiled turning around to see Azazel grab the arm of the boy who had been annoying her and twist it behind his back before he could reach her shoulder.
“I'm Evalynn, nice to meet you,” the girl said passing near Taram. He was looking better from above.

Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 177

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?Sign up to be part of our awesome Vampire Friday blog hop team! You know you want to!

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.
Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left of last week

“I’m not sleeping,” I finally said. I felt her body tense in my back.
“How many people were killed tonight,” she asked with a broken voice.
“Not many,” I answered.
“How many did you kill?” she asked again.
“Two,” I answered.
She sighed. I knew she would never understand nor accept this part of me and it made me sad. I didn’t want to disappoint her but this was who I was, I enjoyed hunting humans and I didn’t care about their possible creation, most of them would never create anything valuable because they couldn’t afford an education, because they would die too soon for it or because they wouldn’t even try. I could feel it when drinking their blood, most of them were useless and at least the rabbits made Sorina smile.
“The humans, they are just like us, they walk like us, they look like us, they talk and love like us,” she said.

I didn’t know how to explain to them that I knew it but still felt that they were also different, there was something in drinking their blood and in killing them and preparing them for the right taste that was making me feel good. It was resonating in me. It was deep in my body, I didn’t need to think too much, I knew that I needed that blood until the last drop sometimes. It was giving me insight on their life, they were not lost, they were becoming a part of my somehow. Who they were, their life was written in my as their blood started to flow in my veins. When I was biting one of them, I didn’t feel like sharing he blood with it, I wanted it to be all mine. It was an impulse it was somehow selfish, I knew I was stealing form them what they had more precious and that what felt so good to me. I couldn’t and didn’t want to stop. But I didn’t know how to make her understand something that she could never experience so I didn’t answer and I waited for her to give me the lesson she wanted to give me. I hated being shamed like this for who I was, I hated that she wanted me to be a wolf only. Why did she married a vampire if she hated them so much. Sometimes even looking at my parents in love, it was making me wonder about their motives. It would have been so much easier if my mother had also been a vampire. But at moment like that I also thought about Sorina. I knew I would lose her but I also knew that I would never felt in my heart to change her and to deprive her from the sun.

Thursday Fiction 171: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week.

"Fanny..." Fin interrupted.
"Lieutenant, you interrupt her one more time and I'll have you banned from this room, you hear me, please Fanny, continue," I said.
"I saw commandant Tucker enter the second machine room earlier today. It was unusual, higher officer never enter the machine room, too noisy, too dirty... So I followed. You know how I feel about him, I just can't look at him without wanting to vomit on his shining shoes."
I sure knew the feeling Tucker wasn't my favorite person on the ship either.
"Well, he was not alone, there was a woman with him."
"Do you know who it was?"
"I'm not sure but she was wearing a pilot outfit," Fanny said.
"Lieutenant Fin, get Clara and Debby here immediately," I said.
"Captain," Fin said looking at me.
He was exasperating, I didn't have time to play games, I didn't know how long I was going to stay in Michelle's body and damn I needed information. I stared back at him until he finally stood up and leave.

Milo from the Alvastaria Steampunk Series, doll review (with video)

Today, I'm opening Milo, the fifth character in the Alvastaria series.
He arrived quite some times ago so I guess it's about time I give him some freedom. He has a very detail outfit and looks a bit more steampunk than the others. He has a very awesome outfit and particular eye shape that I haven't seen in an azone doll before.
I really like this series, especially because they are steampunk but also because they have such unique faces.
Milo is a collaboration between Azone and Ayaka, Victorian Circus. You can check her instagram here. She currently has two dolls at the azone store for the Azone Boys Doll event.

Here is the video

And here are some pictures
