Thursday Fiction 156: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week.

"Well, after being in a fire, people generally are but we need to make sure your inside can hold water before giving you anything," the doctor said. "Would you like to suck on some ice?"
"Sounds good," I said.
The nurse moved away.
"I need to tend to other people now," the doctor said "Someone will give you a room soon."
I nodded.
What was I doing here? There was nothing I could do except sharing the intense level of fear and panic from my other self. I couldn't help her. Everything she felt, I felt too and I couldn't differentiate between her feeling and my feelings. I started to tell myself what I knew. I was safe, my body was in my room with Amy looking over it, I had a blanket and I was on my bed. My other self was safe, she was in the hospital, the doctor had already examined her even if it had probably taken a hell lot of time to get there seeing that I hadn't black out in an entire day and that the fire happened last night but we were both going to be ok.
My mother appeared at the entrance of the room and I started to shake. It wasn't my mind, it was a body reaction.

Wednesday Snippet 159: Blue Angel (MidWeek Tease)

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“You can't be serious, we all know that you live with at least one demon, a Nephil demon which hadn't been registered,” the other said.

Sahel, no matter what it was or where he went now, it was always about Sahel. He wondered if anyone would ever leave him alone.

“He is more of a human that a demon, except for the wings,” Isakael said.

“What is that even supposed to mean?” the other said.

The tickling was getting lower on Isakael's shoulders, it had only happened when demons were around before, he had a bad feeling about that guy, he looked around a bit alarm, the corridor was running forever along a square garden, there were trees and benches and grass on the floor covered with autumn leaves but there was water nowhere. If it continued this way, he was going to need water really soon and a lot of it. He dragged his eyes back to the other's face.

“It's just like you, you have been raised by dogs, you look like a dogs,” he said.

“What?” the other said.

Isakael passed next to him his wings knocking the guys shoulder.

“Don't follow me, I know demons remember?” he said with a cold voice.

Let's start right where we left off

A week earlier, Yobi had tried again to put the play-ground under chaos by throwing stolen paint at everybody. Unfortunately for him, Tân didn't appreciate it. The surprise made him lose control of his powers and he accidentally set one of Yobi's tails on fire. Yobi was so afraid of being burned again that everyone tried to put pressure on him by calling Tân for help which worked more or less.
"Not him, not him," he cried loudly, making Ayokunle smile a little between his tears.

Alerted by the noise, Mikala walked out of the kitchen and looked at Gideon and Brownie angrily.
"Give him to me!"
