Wednesday Snippet 416: Fairy World 57

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week

"I think we should go our separate ways after all, thank for guiding us out of the forest, it was a very pleasant experience."

"Yeah, you better get lost and make sure you don't cross my path again," Azazel said.

Torsti changed his hammer from his left to right shoulder.

"Maybe I should take care of you just now," he said.

"There is someone here you better not piss off more than necessary," Isakael said coming behind Azazel.

"We are gods, that guys is a joke," Torsti said pointing at Azazel.

Isakael smirked, apparently they didn't get the warning. He felt the pull from the fairies' bodies as the air around them warmed up slowly. Nothing seemed to get out of Sahel as he spoke again. It was a lot more invisible display of power than Isakael had imagined.

"You'll never find the way out without us," Sahel said.

"I don't give a shit if they stay here forever," Azazel answered.

"We need to stay united in time of crisis," Apostos said walking in the middle of the demons.

Sahel smiled.

"Are you for real?" Azazel asked shaking his head.

Tuesday Travel 212: Witch Raising: The Book of Earth 59

Welcome to Tuesday Travel. This week we are following Brownie on her journey as she is going toward the second element: Earth.

About Witch Raising.

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.

“Something big enough to block a train, carried by a desert animal?” Brownie asked.

“And who are you?” Oscar asked extending a hand to Brownie.

Brownie took it.

“Brownie,” she answered.

“Whose student? Yours?”

“I wish,” Henry said laughing. “No, she is an independent traveler who think that rocks are fascinating.”

Just at that moment, the most fascinating rock of them all started to warm up against Brownie's skin. It was pulsating more and more every second.

“I don't think we should stay here,” Brownie said looking around. Most of the curtain had been drawn, she walked to the closest window and took a look.

Mystery Monday 209: Murder at the Conference 106

Hello mystery lovers and welcome to a new Mystery Monday.
I hope you had a great week-end. Here is a new little part of Murder at the Conference. Murder at the Conference is a stand alone sequel to Harajuku Kiss.

We start right were we left off last week:

“But latex isn't for geeks any scientist has to know it, it's the only way to write something properly.”

“I know that, but she is using some sort of boxes program for her paper and it works.”

“What I mean is, you can't let her put you down for having skills that she doesn't have, you have to fence for yourself.”

“But if I answer anything, it goes on and on and on because she has her own way which is supposed to be best and she doesn't listen to any argument I might have.”

“She doesn't have to listen but you don't have to listen either.”

“Today, I told her the conversation was over, she kept on talking so I put on my earphones,” I said.

He kissed me on the forehead again. Seeing his size and mine, that was the easier place to reach.

“Good girl, don't let her put you down. Somehow that might be associated with your stress level.”

With my panic attack this morning and yes, possibly with my stress level too. I should probably be writing a diary about everything she said to see how it affected me and my self-esteem.

Normandie: Giverny, Monet's house (with video)

We took the train back to Normandie to visit Giverny and especially Claude Monet's house and the garden where he painted the water lilies paintings we saw in a previous article. You can take a tourist train to go to Monet's house from the train station. I wanted to visit the house since I read Black Water Lilies by Michel Bussi, it didn't disappoint. The book is about three women, it's really good.

Here is the video
