We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.
We climbed. It wasn’t too high or a long climbed, people had stopped shouting at each other to give themselves strength, the procession was as mute as death. I wanted to tell them to go back, that it was useless but even if I managed to suggest the idea to every single one of them, I was sure it wouldn’t be enough to keep them out of the way of the dragons forever. They were in the hands of the Jägers and they knew their business.
I didn’t walk in the front, I didn’t want to make waves already but I placed myself with the middle aged men, one sword out in my left hand, the other ready to go. I also had my short knife just in case.
There were two of them, one was deep green with spike on its back and neck just like Irina had described. It had a collarette of a brownish colour around its neck. Its long tail was finished with a pointy and sharp spike as well. It was moving all the time, sweeping the floor carrying gravel and dust in his path. It was laying on the floor on its legs and it was so big that I couldn’t decide how big and tall it was. The front legs were finished with sharp claw. If someone had told me that such creature existed, well when Irina told me about them and the others and when I read it in the books I consulted the day before, I didn’t believe it. I still didn’t right now. The dragon turned his head toward us, alerted by the noise: the rattling of the weapons and the footsteps. The young men stopped. The dragon looked at us with yellow eyes opened in a vertical slit. It yawned at looked away putting its large head to rest again. It was unimpressed by us and if he could smell fear as I did, I could understand why. Few men drop their weapons and started to run away. That started the fury of the other dragon. It was different and somehow I felt like it was a female, it resembled Irina when she was mad two days ago and blaming me of betrayal.
