We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.
Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last week.
“You knew more about me than I ever knew about you, my memory is not what it used to be so now you can keep your trust for yourself, I don’t mind. You say one words about wolf again and I promise you that you’ll bitterly regret it. You might not have noticed that you were having a lot of privileges here but those are over,” I said.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” She asked.
I pushed her on the floor letting go of her. She felt harshly and probably painfully but I didn’t care anymore. My patience had its limits.
“You move when I say so, you eat when I say so, you sleep when I say so, no more reading whatever you like, no more of anything you seemed to like actually. I’ll let you here to think about what you have done,” I said turning around to leave.
She tried to stand up and come after me but I locked the door. She knocked at it and yelled but I didn’t care, I walked back downstairs to the breakfast table. I felt good, I knew exactly what to do now, she would come back tired of the city and tonight, I would have a feast of blood, finally. The days of diet were over. She needed to realise that she was alive just because I wanted her too. I didn’t need her. I could get another girl in Krakow, everyone else would think that she had been eaten by the dragons.
I finished my breakfast. The inn keeper’s wife didn’t talk to me at all. I think she was starting to see that something wasn’t quite right in my relationship with Irina. She might even have seen the traces of the bite on her neck, I didn’t know what Irina had told her when she was taking her bath but I didn’t really care. Irina was still knocking at her door and yelling when I walked back to my room about one hour later, that was even better. The more she was going to tire herself, the easier it would be to pretend that she was sick after biting her.
