Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.
We are following Kamaril in the Demon World.
He landed at the top of the street. It was closed to the Human World, he could feel it, the fresh air entering as if there was some sort of spell to make sure it wasn't his world spreading out there.
He had never passed the boundary. Most demon never did. Not because they didn't want to just because it wasn't that appealing. No matter how many demon would cross to go there and destroy their world, the human would always stand up and rebuild it. Many had tried before him and many had fail at conquering it, the easiest thing to do to play the humans was to take control of their government and to make them fight each other. It was so easy that in itself it wasn't even worth the trouble but looking at humans killing each other from above or bellow was pretty interesting.
He pulled up his collar and walked through the street. It was deserted. There was a lot of pubs here and it was generally crowded with drunk demons probably trying to forget what kind of losers they were. Today however there was not a flap of wings to be seen and Kamaril decided to stay on his guard.
As he progressed further the smell of blood caught up to him. Someone had tried to washed it away with water but it was still there. The blood had been spread all over the ground. Kamaril stopped in front of the witch's store, instead of the deep sea blue color of the facade, there was only burned wood. The door had been torn apart. Kamaril looked around him as if looking for who could be responsible for that. There was no one but him in the street. Whatever happened here, it have been over for a while, probably when he was in the cave fighting for his life.
He entered the shop precociously, all senses in alert. He listened to the cracking sound of burned wood under his shoes. The incense had burned too and an heavy melange of perfume was still stuffing the air. He put his hand on his nose as if breathing through it was going to make the air around less filthy.
He didn't know what he was looking for. A passage to the fairy world, a way to get there. If he had asked the witch she would have given him a book with her always suspicious look and frowned nose, trying to figure out what he wanted to do there. But she was nowhere to be see and it suddenly hit Kamaril: She had to be dead. Had they killed her for her power and knowledge or because they had been looking for something important in her shop?
