Wednesday Snippet 297: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last week.

This week we are still in the Fairy World with Kelpie and Jezabel.

“Ezechiel, Ezechiel,” Jezabel said in her sleep, just near Kelpie's left ear.

“And here we go, our angel too has a boyfriend and a bad one. Damn, calling the guy who sent her to prison in her sleep,” Kelpie grumbled. “I would rather be deaf than hear things like this.”

He sighed and walked a bit faster, he wanted to get rid of his angel, he didn't need another stupid girl in his life and he felt that this one was even worse than Kallisto.

The floor was flooded in places and he repeatedly slipped on the autumn leafs fallen on the ground. It seemed to him that the forest had changed color a lot while he was captive but he put it on the count of the rain, he didn't stay in the prison all that long even if he had forgotten to count the days. It was said that counting the day helped you keep sane in prison because you would still know that there was something outside but he didn't even start, he had other things to thing about. Somehow his life had crashed, he suddenly felt like crying, in the rain, at least nobody would see his tears.

He had this huge weight on his chest at all time since he was a child. He had always tried to reach his grand-father expectations, to be smart and better than Kordelius at all time. He had even cheated in every possible way but in the end he had failed and he had nothing left except the stupid angel on his back who would certainly be gone soon enough. He didn't even want her in his life, he had never asked for it, he had never asked for anything for himself. His entire life had been a lie, the life of someone else but he had lied so much that he didn't even remembered who he was or what he really wanted. Tears washed by the rain were falling from his horse deep black eyes and rolling on his hairy black horse's skin. He felt as if he was crying the rain.

Crying wasn't painful, it felt like a relief.
