About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt, we start where we left off last week
"I didn't mean it like that," Sandy said.
"Two speed ethics I see," Samantha answered.
There was no way for Sandy to win this, she had no argument that could counter Samantha now.
"There is a difference between man and woman," Sandy said.
Brownie couldn't repress a smile. She had heart that from girls, human and demon alike, so many times before, the huge difference between men and women that let the man do things woman couldn't do.
"Oh, let's hear it," Samantha said staring at Sandy.
And Brownie knew why she was on Samantha's side even before any of this started. Samantha reminded her of herself, the fighting part of herself that was. She was sitting here as a spectator of who she had been in her last interaction with the demons before they left to the Fairy World in an all boy mission leaving her out and pissed because of her gender.
"He needs a lot more protein than a woman does and there are no protein in potatoes," Sandy said.
"That's it?" Brownie answered with her eyes wide like saucers.
It seemed nobody had been expected to hear her speak.
"That's enough, he needs meat from time to time, you biologically don't," Marry answered.
"Seriously, you must be joking," Josh answered.
"It seems that someone was really sleeping during biology classes," Samantha said.
"Well, I was but she is right, there are no protein in the potatoes so..." Samuel answered.
"Proteins are used to build muscle so yeah woman need some, almost as much as a guy, it depends on your size but not that much on gender," Josh said.
"You don't know anything about nutrition, we are vegetarian, we are very careful about what we need to meet our daily nutritional requirements and women don't need proteins at all, we need 90% carbohydrate and 10% fat," Marri said.
