Gosick (A-to-Z challenge 2016)

The theme of my A-to-Z April Challenge this year is dolls, as I have a lot of dolls and I'm pretty sure I can go from A-to-Z with them. For G I'm going to introduce a cute couple.

Gosick is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuki Sakuraba. There is also an anime of the same name for those of you who don't read Japanese. I have the two first volumes but I haven't read them yet because, I'm one of those person with a too read list that will take me about two life times and is still growing. But I'll definitely get to it. Ok, let me go get them out of their box...
Ok, I'm back.
"So what does this have to do with dolls?" You say.
Well, Japanese doll company sometimes make deals with anime people to create a line of dolls with the anime characters and Groove did that for Gosick. Though for Gosick they only made the two main characters, if you look for pullip sailor moon, however, you'll see more than 16 dolls, I'm not kidding, I lost count and I don't have any of them because that's just too much.
Anyway, let's go back to Gosick. Groove made Kujo and Victorique de Blois. Pullip Victorique became super popular and really hard to find. Here is the funny story. There is a store where they hide their pullip dolls near the azone store. I'm not kidding you, you can see a corner of the boxes but they are almost impossible to find if you don't know they are there. The first time I went to buy Johan and Nella retro (a rather rare couple) and I saw the Gosick dolls but buying four was a little bit too much that day. I sort of worried that someone else would buy them before me but I still waited. Months later, I went back. The boxes were hidden pretty high (they only sell them in pair at that store.) I called the guy at the counter. I took the ladder not really knowing what I wanted. I pointed at the box which was almost invisible. I really think he didn't believe it when he finally got the box down and asked me if that was it and i said yes. That's how I got those two.

I like my Isul Kujo but in the anime, Victorique is very small and Kujo is a lot taller than her. I think it would have been a bit more appropriate to create Kujo as a Taeyang to keep the same balance. Still, they really fit the characters. You can compare with the book cover (first picture).
