Wednesday Snippet 242: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“Exactly my point,” Ezechiel said as loudly as he could. Isakael was sure that his throat must be painful after that but Ezechiel continued without even a gesture to prove it. “This angel is a criminal, she can't be allowed to run free, we need justice for all of you, who every day choose to do the right thing. It is our duty, as angel to protect the will of God and to forbid trickery. She is making all of us look like fools, she is running around unpunished doing whatever the devil has ask from her. She needs to be stop, it is your duty as angel to do the right thing. It is our responsibility.”
Isakael wondered why all suddenly, Ezechiel wanted them to go to the demon world. If the demons were actually gathering souls, going to the demon world would only help them.
“How does he know that Jezabel is in the demon or human world. She can be anywhere, she could even still be here somewhere, paradise is a vast place and as there is almost noone to cure it's safer for her,” Isakael muttered hoping that someone around him was going to pick it up.
And of course, someone did.
“How do you know she is somewhere at the demons and humans? She could be with santa for all we know,” a large black haired angel yelled at the platform making others around him laugh. He crossed his arms on his chest decidedly as if he had the genius idea to question Ezechiel, to force him to explain.
Isakael couldn't help noticing the slight change in Ezechiel's composure as his effect had just fallen short.
“We have heard of an angel with her description appearing there,” he said.
A wave of understanding passed in the crowed but Isakael could see some of the permanent members moving uncomfortably on their sits. Something wasn't quite right. Ezechiel was bullshitting they to have them go to the demon world with could end up in a bloody war and he had enough power on the permanent member for them to keep there mouth shut.
“I wonder how he did it?” A voice said next to him.

Tuesday Travel 31: Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Welcome to Tuesday Travel. Every Tuesday, I will be presenting an excerpt of Witch Raising: The Book of Fire, the book in which Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul, is undertaking an initiatory journey.

About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

Little demons were running in the corridor, probably the one Dylan had been babysitting. This house was getting more and more crowded with rescued children of all species by the minute. Brownie put her back to the wall to let them pass, they couldn't see her, it would be weird if they bumped into her. Yobi was with them, he slowed down in front of her and she took a deep breath hoping he wouldn't say anything. He just pulled his tongue at her and run off. That was one more danger out of the way. If Yobi were to tell everyone something weird was going on with her and got someone to listen, there would be a storm in the house before she was able to leave.
People were hanging around everywhere, saying hello, asking her if everything was ok. At first, it felt as if it was written on her forehead that she was going out surely because that was the only thing in her mind. But then she realized that what they really cared about was if she was all right after the big spell she had put out and the three days sleep. She was alright, she still felt slightly weak and hungry but she was rather fine.
“Sahel stayed with you the all three days, he was supposed to go get a girl in the demon world but the other went without him,” Grenadine said.
Brownie didn't know if she should feel guilty or not, for stopping Sahel from going to yet another rescue mission. She knew what demons over there were capable of.
“Did they bring her back?” She asked.
“She is with Kelpie and she is nuts, Isakael has a containment plan,” Grenadine said.
Brownie sighed at least they could manage without her and Sahel.
“Would you come with me?” She said locking her arm in Grenadine's “Girl talk.”
“Yeah, it's been a while,” Grenadine answered.
The walked to her bedroom. Brownie knew that she couldn't really say anything, especially to Grenadine who was always ready to gossip around and run her mouth but it was good to have a sister around. Grenadine took a sit on the bed and Brownie felt Dylan's box on her desk and pulled her largest backpack out of the closet.
“Going somewhere?” Grenadine asked.

Dewey's 24 hours readathon (bouquinerie, and a bit of NaNoWriMo) with video

This weekend was the Dewey's 24 hours readathon. During the readathon I planned to read a lot of books. Of course I didn't manage to read that much.
The readathon normally takes place between 8am est on Saturday to 8am est of Sunday. However, that makes it 9pm in Japan. So that mean I should have been reading all Sunday.
The thing is, this Sunday was the 4th of the month, which means that it's Bouquinerie Sunday and I really wanted to go since I haven't been since June.
Then there was also my Sunday Write-in which ended up being a NaNo prep write-in... (more about that in the next video). So I didn't quite read as much as expected.
On a good day, (not during a readathon) I can still manage to read this much.

 Here is the video

Mystery Monday 31: Harajuku Kiss

Welcome Mystery Monday. For this weekly writing blog post, I will be presenting snippets of my novel Harajuku Kiss, a mystery romance in Japan.
I hope you'll enjoy following our heroine through her thoughts and adventures.

About Harajuku Kiss

At times, life can be so depressing. She is walking her usual recovery tour in Harajuku, finishing with a crepe, trying to forget that her boyfriend dumped her once again for the week-end... When the unthinkable happens... A boy stops in front of her in the street and kisses her, in the middle of the street, before running away.
Trying to discover more about him, she is dragged into a dangerous game of mystery. A biologist has been murdered and a deadly virus is on the loose. First suspect: the mysterious Harajuku's stranger.

Here is the snippet for this week

I was almost at the crepes shop, and annoyed, not because of my stupid ex-boyfriend's behavior but because people were queueing. I remembered the first time I went there, I walked to the girl, interrupted her conversation with the cook and asked for my crepes which was ready before I had my money out. I mean it doesn’t take that long to cook a crepe when you have the right material. Just over the past few months, people started to notice that the crepes were tastier here than in any other shops. I knew that because I tried them all along the street. Other people, I don’t know how they noticed it but I guess rumors, these kinds of things. Lots of people stood in front of me to ask and pay for the crepes and then moved to the second queue to get their crepes. I was pissed and a bit jealous. It was my shop. I discovered it before all of them. How the hell did they dare to make me queue? Plus, I had just been dumped, and dumped people should be treated with a lot more kindness.
