Thursday Fiction 190: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.
Let's start right where we left off last week.

"All right, thanks for making me feel better, now I'm calling them."
She took her phone and a deep breath and dialed her home number. I wondered why they didn't call her but let her call. She had said they they would call Alex if she didn't call. Why bother going through him when she had a phone too and they could get to her directly? There was Alex's words on one hand and I knew it was hard for him too even if he seemed to have it a lot easier than Amy. They were competing for their parents love and that was pretty awful because no of them was ever going to win.
The phone seemed to ring for ever before someone picked up on the other side.
"Alex said you wanted to talk to me," Amy said going as straight to the point as Tucker. No hello, no how are you, that made me slightly uncomfortable. I think I would at least have tried to be polite. I made a move to leave but she grabbed my hand and held it tight. On the other side of the line, one of her parents was going on and on and on and Amy was clenching her jaws and closing her eyes and she held unto me as if she needed all my energy.

Wednesday Snippet 193: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

The only thing stopping him was that he didn't really want to find out. Not today, not when everything was messier than ever in the Demon World and that it was frightening his house, damn Brownie for the day she had brought a demon at home. He had been against it all along, there was no way he would have accepted it and then, it changed. He had heard the saying “only the stupid don't change their mind.” but that was far from the truth. He felt like he had no choice but to fix up other people's mess. Brownie had brought the demon, the demon's soul had been stolen and then she had caught it back. Now he didn't know what demons were doing gathering souls and it wasn't his problem, he just wonder what they wanted with that particular one. Damn, Brownie should have been the one here queuing to learn about that. She should have been the one going for this day of prayer and purification, she sure needed it, she smelled witchcraft even in his dreams. But he was the angel so he was here no matter how unfair it was. The cold wind hit a little bit stronger and Isakael shivered.
“Once I'm done fixing their mess, I'll take a well deserve holiday very very far away where nobody can find me in a hot place, so hot that I couldn't even bear the freaking high temperature,” he thought hugging himself a little tighter. He wished he could go back to sleep. He was progressing toward the church one step at a time and he knew that this part of the day wasn't going to be the worse.

Kirby Momoko Review (with video)

Today, I'm reviewing that Kirby Momoko. She is one of the latest special Momoko to come out. This one is not mine though. I guess I haven't found my dream Momoko yet. She will go to America soon.

This doll is a cross between Momoko from Petworks and the Kirby character. She doesn't have a crazy kirby looking outfit, instead she has a bit of a stereotypical gamer girl style. She is wearing a cap, a tunic with a kirby design on it, and shoes with little yellow stars like kirby often has around.

Here is the video

And here are some pictures

WeWriWar 266: Demon Soul

Welcome to a new excerpt of DEMON SOUL for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday
Pre-Plot:
Brownie is a normal girl, or so she thinks. She likes to chat with her sisters about random things, she likes fashion and she is member of the fashion club at school. But one day, as her little brother gets really sick because of a curse placed on him, she meets this really strange guy who cures him absorbing the baby's sickness within himself. As he is about to fall from his new acquired fever, Brownie sees Yue's soul and immediately falls in love with him. But Yue is not a human, Yue is a demon.
Brownie and Yue will built their love story until....

Plot:
Until Yue's soul is stolen. There is nothing left of their love. The purple light dancing in Yue's grey eyes is gone. Forever? Not quite. Brownie is desperate to find it back. And to get a soul stolen by demons, she needs to go deep into dark magic! But Brownie is not a witch, she is just looking for a spell powerful enough to bring her love back. When an amateur starts playing with strong magic without preparation and without caring for the consequences, things turn wrong...

Let's start right where we left off.

Generally, Brownie liked to hear Hitomi tell her strange stories, however, tonight, she could only think about one thing.
How would she get what she needed from the shop in the Demon World?
She couldn’t possibly ask anyone to come with her, and she would need a nice disguise to go in there.

I go in, I get the incense as fast as possible, and I go out. Everything is going to be alright, she kept on telling herself.

But she wasn’t convinced. She was still lost in her thoughts as the dinner ended and she walked back to her bedroom.

If you miss them last week, check out my video of the Japan writers conference happening this weekend in Otaru.

Day 1
