WeWriWar 252: Demon Soul

Welcome to a new excerpt of DEMON SOUL for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday

Pre-Plot:
Brownie is a normal girl, or so she thinks. She likes to chat with her sisters about random things, she likes fashion and she is member of the fashion club at school. But one day, as her little brother gets really sick because of a curse placed on him, she meets this really strange guy who cures him absorbing the baby's sickness within himself. As he is about to fall from his new acquired fever, Brownie sees Yue's soul and immediately falls in love with him. But Yue is not a human, Yue is a demon.
Brownie and Yue will built their love story until....

Plot:
Until Yue's soul is stolen. There is nothing left of their love. The purple light dancing in Yue's grey eyes is gone. Forever? Not quite. Brownie is desperate to find it back. And to get a soul stolen by demons, she needs to go deep into dark magic! But Brownie is not a witch, she is just looking for a spell powerful enough to bring her love back. When an amateur starts playing with strong magic without preparation and without caring for the consequences, things turn wrong...

Let's start right where we left off.

Raise your Baby Demon. She smiled reading this title and took the book. It wasn't likely to help her in anyway but it could still be nice to have a look at it. If Yue didn't lose his soul that would have been the only book she would ever have had to read.

She went back to her usual armchair. Books were spread everywhere around it on the floor. She put her two new books with them and went back to the one she had been reading the day before Demon Magic. The next chapter described the ceremony used to link the demon Dark Side to his body.

Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 180

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?Sign up to be part of our awesome Vampire Friday blog hop team! You know you want to!

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.
Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left of last week

I woke up in the morning, walking out of the dream was harder than usual. I remembered never really asking myself questions about the righteousness for killing humans but it seemed so important for my mum. I wasn’t feeling guilty about last night and I was ready to continue everything as planned. I knew I needed blood to be fully myself and I knew that there was only one way for me to safely get it before the next city.
The smell of hot chocolate was filling the room downstairs as I walked in. Perenelle was cutting the vegetables as usual and Nicolas had a book opened near his cut.
I see that you had a nice night,” he said pointing at the collar of my shirt. There were two little stain of blood in the corner.
I’m leaving today,” I said.
You can’t, where would you go,” Nicolas answered looking at me over his book once again.
I have some new questions which need answering. I am grateful that you let me stay with you and that you teach me so many valuable alchemy but it’s time for me to move on,” I said sitting down at the table.
The food wasn’t appealing but I forced myself to bite in a piece of bread. I needed to look human for the last time we would be in the same room.
We have many things to prepare before you can leave, we haven’t finish to work on the journals you got from the priest in Viena, they are only partially translated and we still need sometimes to got to understand their meaning fully. There are a lot of things that you never even heard of, alchemy is a vast field and there are still useful knowledge beyond your imagination,” Nicolas said.
I have made my decision, I will be leaving in the evening, I don’t want to attract too much attention, I’ll pack and get my horse. I would send you the news about the journals but I’m not sure if it’s safe or not. I sent a letter to the castle and planted few traps to get the vampire chasing me in the wrong direction, I can’t let them get to you by any means,” I said.

Thursday Fiction 174: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week.

"Not without my eye and my crew is a bit shaken," Amy said.
"And she needs rest," Fin said entering the room followed by my girls.
"How are you holding up?" I asked them ignoring him.
Seriously I knew Fanny needed rest. I knew it more than anyone, I was in the hospital in semi-shock not an hour ago.
"We already discussed all the possibilities captain and..." Clara started but Debby pushed her with her elbow.
"Oh, you're back," Clara said.
"What are you talking about?" Lieutenant Fin asked.
"Yeah, and a bit confused, wanna give me a head up?" I asked the girl still ignoring him.
"Bad guys took one of our engine," Clara said.
"Looks like it. Any idea what to do about it," I asked.
"Just get to Antares as fast as possible and try to stay alive in the process," Debby said.
"The second part seems highly compromised," Fanny answered.
"I need you to go through the data base and find me the pilot, Fanny," I said.
"That's the least I can do," Fanny answered with a smile.
"I want an assessment of the damage and I want to know everything you need to fix it. Who is the best mechanics on board?" I asked.

Wednesday Snippet 177: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“I'm not scared of you or your Nephilim friends,” Taram said angrily.
Seti shook his head seing Azazel place his hand on the wall of the cave. Tree branches grew from the ground near Taram's feed making him fall on the floor. Azazel turned his head on his left shoulder to look at him from the corner of his eyes.
“Maybe you should be,” he said making Seti laugh.
“Come on Az, they are just kids,” Seti said walking after him without giving more attention to his sister or her friends.
“I know you like Watchers there is no curing you of being one,” Azazel answered.

“He is talking about us like we are a disease, what the hell is your brother doing with a guy like that, I thought he was cool, I thought he had great powers and stuff,” Taram said pushing Torin away as he tried helping him.
“My brother is the god of Chaos. He is not like you, you gotta accept that,” Samira said as if it was painful to admit, her voice was low and shaking.
“You're here because of him, he should be taking care of you instead of running after that guy, did you see his hair? What the hell they were green, is that Nephilim fashion?” Taram continued, he was still looking at the corner of the cave's corridor were Seti and his friends had disappear as if he was expecting to come back for a fight.
