Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 149

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?Sign up to be part of our awesome Vampire Friday blog hop team! You know you want to!

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.
Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left of last week

“What are you thinking little Viorel? You are like your father, unable to fight because you are thinking too much, taking away I blade won’t save you, I’ll crush you with my bare hands”, he said walking toward me as if the sword I was putting between us didn’t matter.
I couldn’t draw back now, I knew that if I drew back the fear would take possession of me, I needed to be the one to attack, this was my moment, I have the advantages of being high up already. He rushed toward me once again. I knew he wanted his sword back and that he wouldn’t mind an injury on his chest for that, I wasn’t sure to have enough power left to pick through his ribs cage. I noticed the chandelier floating above the ground and decided to go for it. In an ultimate effort I jumped and grabbed it with my harmed arm. The pain was atrocious, if I had really needed to breathe I might have lost my breathe out of it, I felt like needles piercing through my head and my vision blurred but I managed to dig my sword in his eyes as he had stopped to look up at me. He staggered to the table holding his eye and yelling as I felt loudly on the ground, I crawled away as fast as I could trying not to lose side of him. I wondered if I had dig deep enough, he was still moving, he grabbed his sword and turned around like a mad man. He couldn’t see a thing, his eyes were read with blood and he took few steps hitting randomly in the furniture and telling me that he was going to kill me before falling on the floor. His body was shaken by spasm under the seizure he was finally having but I couldn’t take a risk. I pull myself up on my feet helping myself with the turned over sofa. Walked toward him as fast as I could an chopped his head off.
I took few steps back and put my back against the wall, the coldness in my back had never felt safer. I looked at the room, everything in there was ruined, there were three vampire cadavers on the floor discomposing at different speed and blood everywhere but curiously, I was still alive. I felt so lucky.
The human man had been hidden in the stairs. I had almost forgotten about him.

Thursday Fiction 143: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventure of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week.

We looked at each other and smiled.
"We're for real," I said.
"I want to get into the astrobiology group," Amy said.
"And you are?" the secretary asked looking at me.
"Happy being a physics major," I answered.
The secretary laughed.
"I guess I can't get out of this paper work," she said. "Here is the form. I'll add it to your folder once you filled it up. What's you name?"
Amy filled up the form and the secretary looked for her folder in several drawer. She was making a lot of noises and she seemed pretty disorganized. She was laughing the all time and chatting us as if we were her long time friends asking about our families and high school and offering advices and mint gum.
"You're lucky you know, if you had waited a few more days, it would have been too late. If you have some friends wanting a change you better tell them to get over here fast," she said as she placed Amy's filled in her folder and handed her her new schedule freshly entered in the university data base.
"I think it's just me," Amy said.
"Have fun with your new classes, I don't know how you manage that amount of things," the secretary said shaking her head.
"I think how much it will annoy my brother every time I want to give up," Amy said making the secretary laugh one last time.
We walked out of the building and toward the second year quantum class.
"I'm going to need textbook," Amy said, "which one do you think I'll hate the most."
"I was going to say organic chemistry but that might be a killer," I answered.
"I'm not sure I can pull it off," Amy said. "I even kept everything my parents made me take when she asked me if I really wanted it."
"You'll be fine, just look at it as your back door, and nobody said that Aliens don't live under their own sea."
"I guess you're right, that could help me find new life conditions for an unknown life form."

Wednesday Snippet: Demon World 147

Welcome to a new part of Demon World unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“They don’t need you, at best you’ll just get in the way, and the truth is, I don’t know how to get there”, Viorel answered.
“Then why did you said it was in a flying distance”, Gideon answered suspicious.
“Because Sahel didn’t wait for us to open the vortex, if you want to get there, do a location spell or ask Saphira to find Brownie she might be able too but at best you’ll be a burden for them, think about it, we don’t know how many demons are around Brownie and ours have even of one human to protect”, Viorel answered.
“I’m not just human, I can do Magick”, Gideon answered a bit annoyed.
Viorel had a tendency to consider him like a child and he wasn’t a child anymore he was good at Magick, not ancient Magick or alchemy like Viorel was able to do but he knew what he knew stuff, a lot of stuff. Viorel was clearly underestimating him, even though being older by few centuries was probably a good reason to feel that way.
“I’m going anyway”, Gideon said walking to the door.
Evalynn interrupted him running in. Her hair was totally electrified, she had probably hurt the magical protective barrier straight while coming in, it was happening from time to time with demons and vampire, the barrier had a rejecting effect.
“Where is Azazel?” she said. She looks almost panicked.
“No idea, I was just about to go find out”, Gideon said.
“Good!”, she said trying to get her breath back.
She must have been running or flying as fast as she could to come back here. She was holding a bag against her chest as if it was the most precious thing she possessed and needed to protect it no matter what.

Needle Felting: Tiger (with video)

I have a lot of Felting Kit to do so here is my new little tiger.

I'm sorry at some points my camera ran out of storage and I didn't notice until I was almost done so you won't see me put the strips on the tiger. This kit is from DAISO and it's level 2 it takes a bit more than 3 hours to make.
