Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 420

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet? 

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.

Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.

 

 

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last time.

 

"I didn't know how to use it but it made me feel a little bit better, somehow," she said. "They came and they killed them, she made me hide in your room and said that they wouldn't come there so I gathered everything you had and went through the window to get the horses but I wasn't strong enough to attach them to the carriage, I only have the old one because he lowered himself to get me on, we cannot escape with only one horse but I didn't know what else to do."

"Hush, hush, keep your strength, we will talk about it later," I said.

I wanted revenge with every single bones in my body but I needed to get Irina and Alexei safe somewhere first.

"It's important, right, that thing," Irina said.

I took the philosopher stone and wrapped it in my handkerchief.

"The most important thing ever created by a man," I said.

"Then I'm glad you got it," she said, she cough some more blood.

"Stay here."

Thursday Fiction 410: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

 

She fold the sphere of metal that had leak out of her body the night before in a towel. She needed answered about it. She just hoped it wouldn't give away her location. It had been really bright when it first went out of her arm but now it was pretty much dark and blacken as if it had to be feeding on her to be active. It didn't have his liquid consistency either, it was just hard. Isabelle was curious to know what it was. One thing was for certain, it came from a technology not from this world, something from a place much more advanced.

She put on her shoes and didn't bother to do the shoes laces, with her hand she couldn't manage to pull on the strings. She grabbed more gauze and her disinfectant bottle in the bathroom. She was definitely going to need that and her tooth brush. She looked around trying to figure out what she could have been missing but she didn't see anything or more accurately she saw too many things that she was going to miss. Who knew what her mother would do with her stuff when she discovered she was gone?

Wednesday Snippet 412: Fairy World 53

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week. 

"Ok, now you've done it," he roared and dropped to the ground hands first. The grounds started to shake. The fairies laughed at the desperate attempt but the ground shook more and more as tower of dust and rocks erected themselves up with tree trunks. 

 

Azazel knocked out the fairies on the ground with the shake and created a barrier protecting him from up coming attacks from the sky with the trees and rock towers. 

 

"I don't want to kill you unless I have to," he said, "so you're lucky to have me here instead of another demons, now where is Amarelis?" 

 

"You'll never find the queen," the fairy said fighting against a tree with growing branches which turned around him to imprison him. 

 

"I think you guys need a little reality check," Azazel said. "Last time we came over, it got a little out of hand but we did kick your asses, and took our fairy back. Then Kamaril came alone and apparently he kicked your butts again and took your crazy angel. Now guess who is going to find your queen for a little chat? Just tell me where she is, all we want is to get out of your damn world." 

 

The fairies laughed. They laughed all in the same way and Azazel wonder if they weren't only one entity with several body, that freaked him out a little.

Tuesday Travel 208: Witch Raising: The Book of Earth 55

Welcome to Tuesday Travel. This week we are following Brownie on her journey as she is going toward the second element: Earth.

 

 

About Witch Raising.

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.

It took a second for Brownie to register what was going on. Daphy and Margarethe were too busy trying to clean the mess on the table and not to stain their clothes with the wine.

“That's not possible,” Brownie said.

She opened the curtain a bit wider and looked through the window, the mountains were still way too far away for a boulder to have fallen on the rail. That was impossible, that wasn't supposed to happen.

“I agree, how can a boulder block a train in the middle of the desert?” Henry said. “Excuse me.”

He pushed his chair away from the table and stood up. “I needed to have a look at that.”

“I don't think that's required,” the waiter said. “It is better to stay in your seat and continue as usual.”

Henry looked at him and at the table.

“By the time I'm done, I believe that you'll have our meal in order, then, no rush.”

Henry moved toward the front of the train. There was such a mess that the waiter didn't know what to say any more. Brownie also pushed her chair away from the table and ran after Henry.
