Mystery Monday 202: Murder at the Conference 99

Hello mystery lovers and welcome to a new Mystery Monday.
I hope you had a great week-end. Here is a new little part of Murder at the Conference. Murder at the Conference is a stand alone sequel to Harajuku Kiss.

 

We start right were we left off last week:

 

“So because you never experienced fit shaming or skinny shaming it doesn't exist, just like people who think racism doesn't exist because they never experienced it for themselves?”

“The majority is skinny, especially here in Japan and that's why they call me Okki when I go to buy clothes and nothing fits right. That's the reason fit shamming doesn't actually exist. People are fit shammed only when they start fat shamming other first. Only the majority can have a negative impact on minority.”

“That's where you're wrong. It's not about majority or minority. It's about the one to one interactions that have an impact on a person. Yes, fat shamming has been generalized into a movement because people decided to stand together against bullying and that's a good things. But telling everyone that they have to accept you how you are despite their preferences, that's stupidity. And the movement is also using an inadmissible level of misandry. It's for women only. Fat men don't get to love themselves. The fat acceptance movement tell women to love themselves and that men should love them despite their better judgement. Men shouldn't be allowed to love actresses and top models because skinny girls give a bad body image to women and all women are supposed to be equally attractive no matter what she looks like. Yet, women still want their men to have a six pack and to dress well. It's ok for them to find Colin Farrell attractive and the fat cashier at the supermarket disgusting. It's promoting obesity for women only and it's destroying women because obesity is a disease caused by addiction. We don't see people demanding alcoholic acceptance, smoking acceptance or drug use acceptance either. But when it's food, it's ok.”

Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 416

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet? 

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.

Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.

 

 

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last time.

 

The man supposed to tortured me ran after Jorge after I showed him my fangs. I move on my chair like the real devil but the rope around my wrists wouldn't loosen. The inn keeper and his wife had been under my protection, they were mine and that was the worse thing to think they were dead because of me, and Irina. I had still so much to learn from her. It was ok for me to play with and kill my humans but if someone was to become my human there was no way that I was going to let anybody hurt them or stay unpunished after they hurt them. Jorge was going to feel whatever worse I could give him and that meant I was going to use his own tool on him and serve him to the dragons.

"What makes you so mad?"

It was my guard again.

"Aren't you worried about the books?"

"Even if I was allowed to enter the room to fix the fire, which I doubt, I wouldn't have any rights to read them anyway," he said.

"That man is a monster," I said.

"But why are you so mad suddenly?" He asked again.

I was still trying to loosen my cords which entered my wrists.

"He killed my humans," I said.

Thursday Fiction 406: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

It was time to start eating left handed and that was another story. For once, Isabelle wasn't annoyed by the cook telling her to eat, though, she would have eaten anything and more if she wasn't so slow at it. She tried to hold her knife in her right hand and that was fine until she had to apply any pressure with it to cut her ham or butter her toasts. She revolved herself to pick at strawberries with her fork. At least the left hand wasn't too bad at that. She should have asked Nanurah to put those things on her left wrist but of course she hadn't though of that in time.

“Is there something wrong?” Malik was back again.

“How was the spying?” Isabelle said avoiding his question. She went through double effort to butter a toast with her left hand as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

“Boring, they are still at it. I think Romulus really has a crush on you though,” Malik said, “but seriously I never liked the guy.”

“Is it because he wants me as the heir as it should be and not you?”

Wednesday Snippet 408: Fairy World 49

Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week. 

"The other way around," Sahel answered. "My girlfriend recalled Yue's stolen soul and it appeared with me." 

 

"Just like that?" Odeon asked.

 

"Yeah, just like that," Sahel answered. "So I guess Yue wants his soul back and somehow I would give it to him but I can't really do that because that mean killing myself and I like myself a bit more than I would do the right thing." 

 

"The right thing is to keep what's yours, he...." Isakael started but he stopped himself.

 

"He what?" Torsti asked.

 

"He doesn't deserve it, he lost it alright, not his anymore, if he liked it that much he should have been more careful in the first place," Isakael said.

 

"Why do I have the feeling that you have a tooth against the guy?" Torsti asked half laughing.

 

"If he comes at me, I'll annihilate him," Isakael answered.

 

"Are you sure you are an angel?" Azazel said smirking.

 

"And you'll be next," Isakael said.
