Wednesday Snippet 259: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“Well you see the little problem here, there is just you and me and you're pretty weak for a demon so leave alone trying to fight me. You can just tell me what I want, grab some nice clothes somewhere and lose the dress you're wearing because there is no way the Hunters are going to grow very old messing with people like me,” Odeon said.
“Most of you are dead already, like fools you killed each other, the hunters have their souls and they will soon be used in their new body, there is nothing you can do,” the demon said still walking back.
“And you came all this way just to tell me that?” Odeon asked.
There was something else coming closer to him but he couldn't see it or hear it yet, he was just feeling it, something moving somewhere near.
“We will catch and kill all of you to bring your soul to the real Gods, the one who will serve the demon instead of destroying this world,” the demon said.
He looked down bellow Odeon's feet and that was enough of a warning. Odeon raised in the air in a jump as another demon appeared from the ground just where he had been standing. If he hadn't move he would have been crushed by two gigantic metal jaws.
“What the hell are you playing at?” he said.
It was his turn to be throwing fireballs at the demons bellow.
“Are you done playing already?” Torsti said joining him.
His hammer seemed to have been bathing in blood.
“What the hell is wrong with those guys?” Odeon asked.
“I can't believe you are still trying to understand demons,” Torsti said, “It's them or us and I'd rather have it be them.”

About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

The younger woman was way taller though, Brownie wonder what could have made the older one bend her back so hard. It didn't seem to be the most comfortable position to be out. She straightened herself at the though, wondering if that would happen to her.
"I'm sorry, my mother is not... what she used to be," the woman said.
"I'm not crazy, I know Micha will be here soon," the old woman said.
"I'm already here, mother," the younger woman answered.
"You're not my daughter, you're not my Micha, you're way to old and mean," the old woman answered.
The woman smiled and showed the way to Brownie.
"Do you have your reservation number," she said passing behind the counter and hitting some computer keys.
"I don't have a reservation," Brownie said.
"Oh, I'm sorry but we are fully booked for the three nights of the festival," the woman answered typing more keys as if trying to find something more.
"Well, I'll try somewhere else," Brownie said.
"You might have a better chance out of town," Brownie answered.
Somebody started to yell in the street. The woman fully stood up and looked around before running out, leaving Brownie a bit stun.
Brownie had nothing else to do but follow. The old woman was in the street, yelling profanity to another old woman on the other side of the street.
"And I told you Marcie, not to let your damn cat in my garden anymore, or next time you see it, it'll be in a box without its body," the old woman was yelling.
"You're insane Katherina, I haven't had a cat for more than fifteen year after the killed the third one, you should be locked up in a hospital with all the nutcase like you," the old woman, Brownie supposed to be Marcie called out from the other side of the street. Some people were walking away from the scene, some had stopped to watch.
"They are at it again, they can't see each other without getting at it," someone said.
"One of this days one of them will cross the street and we'll have a cat fight," someone else answered.
Brownie took them to be locals. she turned around to the the owner of the first hostel shaking her head and getting back inside.
Micha was trying to calm her mother down and bring her back inside.

Mystery Monday 48: Harajuku Kiss

Welcome Mystery Monday. For this weekly writing blog post, I will be presenting snippets of my novel Harajuku Kiss, a mystery romance in Japan.
I hope you'll enjoy following our heroine through her thoughts and adventures.

About Harajuku Kiss

At times, life can be so depressing. She is walking her usual recovery tour in Harajuku, finishing with a crepe, trying to forget that her boyfriend dumped her once again for the week-end... When the unthinkable happens... A boy stops in front of her in the street and kisses her, in the middle of the street, before running away.
Trying to discover more about him, she is dragged into a dangerous game of mystery. A biologist has been murdered and a deadly virus is on the loose. First suspect: the mysterious Harajuku's stranger.

Here is the snippet for this week

At least, my Harajuku guy wouldn't let me wait for texts as he didn’t even bother to ask for my phone number. The thought made me laugh half hysterically, half like a person who lacked sleep. I wondered if it was better to stick with him and look at the memory stick or to just bring it tomorrow morning to the closest police box and to let them find the owner. One part of me wanted to look and to solve his mystery, the other part of me dreaded guys disappearing on me.

I decided to be realistic, at four in the morning, not matter how cute the guy, if he was not awake with me in the room the best thing I could do was to go back to bed.

WeWriWar 319: The House at the Crossing 24

Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!

I decided to change things a little bit so for the next few months, I'm going to present you my new WIP. It's called "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.
It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is.

Since it's a WIP, and I still haven't finished the first draft, it's still really row. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement as it goes.

Let's start right at where we left off last week!

“So you figured it out already?” Aunt Teresa said pouring water inside of my mug.

There are four of me stirring their tea bags in their mug and I am one of them. Some other are observing the darker color forming at the bottom. I used to do that a lot.

“It took me forever before I understood what was happening to me the first time. And it seems I was the only one. My family never felt the pull, they were never fragmented. That's what I call it,” Aunt Teresa continues.
