Vlog #88: Tour of the Mirai Store (Smart Dolls!)

Today I have something really special for you. Something I was asked for but also something I meant to do for a while: Visit the Mirai Store!
I found out that the Mirai store was near Shinagawa (yes, not Akihabara duh!) So since I had to go to Shinagawa to get my visa paper work done, I decided to take the opportunity to stop at the Mirai store at the same time.
It was my first time at the Mirai store and it was sort of my first time seeing smart dolls from so close. I mean I saw them at doll events before but there was always to many people for me to get close to them enough to have a detail look and take good picture.
Well today was my lucky day. The Mirai Store has a lot of doll exposed in all shape, color and with different outfit and I could take as many pictures as I wanted.
I also wanted to talk to Danny Choo but I had a heavy crisis of shyness and didn't figure out how to introduce myself. I guess I was also a bit starstruck. I'll try to do better next time. (I still have to go back to pick up my visa, hehe)
I'm still not sure which Smart Doll I want (all of them? :) ). But for some reason Ikki was really interested in knowing which one I like the best... he didn't take notes though so I'm not sure what he meant by that. (Yes, he generally takes notes, then I end up with giant teddy bears...)

Azone Doll Review: Maya, Nostalgic Story Collection Limited ver. (With video)

Today, I'm opening Maya Nostalgic Story Collection Direct Store limited version.

I got this doll from Mandarake in Ikebukuro and if you want to see how it happened you can check out Vlog #83 here.

This doll is an older version of Maya from 2012. She is part of the Nostalgic story collection with 9 other dolls including 2 other Mayas. There are only 4 characters in this series since Yuzuha wasn't created yet.

So far, I have three of them including this one.

Vlog #83 Utena event (Pullip) + Shopping in Ikebukuro

I went out again. Groove announced that they had an event that started on August 1st at the Animate café in Ikebukuro freaking yesterday. It will finish on October 1st so I just had a few days left do go and decided to go today.

The event is actually the Utena 20th anniversary at Animate café and they have a special Utena menu. And of course they have the Pullip Utena and Anthy on display so I went actually just for that. I took some pictures for you guys but I had some trouble with the plastic case the dolls were in. Then I decided to take the opportunity to go shopping in Ikebukuro so I'm taking you to Mandarake and Tokyu Hand and Dollyteria Closet Child.

I♥doll 50: Photos, Pullip News and Harmonia Bloom! (with video)

Welcome to a new video. Yesterday, I went to I♥doll.

My main goal for the day was to see the new Harmonia Bloom dolls by Goodsmile and I wasn't disappointed, they were all there and super cute. Goodsmile was also presenting their new Nendoroid x doll hybrids.

Then I checked out the little rabbits by Pipos and Cocoriang. They are so adorable. I wouldn't be amazed if I end up with one of those in the future.

I also managed to get the pullip steampunk mad hatter who was the last doll missing in my Steampunk Alice collection.

Dolly Vlog Hop #18: How do you store your doll stuff? (with video)

Today for this new Dolly Vlog hop video, I'm going to take you into my doll item storage closet. I used to have stuff in boxes everywhere but now I actually have a dresser where I keep all my doll stuff.

In the first drawer, I have all the books and cards and extra pair of hands as well as the crazy looking accessories.

In the second drawer, I have the pullip and friends clothes. The clothes that I made or the extra pieces from the stock outfits that my dolls aren't wearing at the moment.

In the third drawer, I have all of my azone clothes for pureneemo and picconeemo. I have the sahra's a la mode and excute outfits on the left, the kikipop clothes in the middle and the lil'fairies outfits on the right. 

Then the fourth drawer is all Amane's stuff. When I say that she is the one I have bought the most clothes for, I'm really not exagerating. You can see it's sort of full, that's also because of the huge time of grace outfit that I got for her last january in the lucky bags. 

Then in the last drawer, I have my ball-jointed doll clothes and shoes. I don't have a lot of ball-jointed dolls and I don't have a lot of clothes for them either.

Story time and Review: Bjd Momonita by Atelier Momoni (with video)

Today I decided to finally review my Momonita bjd.

In this video, I explain how I got my lovely Momonita because our story is a little particular and explain a bit about the doll and atelier Momoni +.

Then I give a complete review of the doll and show you her posability. I think I might have gone a bit too long on poses that I really like so you might see her in poses I haven't really explored yet on other website, so I still go into the crazy.

Then of course as usual I have some pictures of the doll fully clothed for you to enjoy.

Atelier Momoni has preorder opened until the 3rd of July so if you want your doll soon, better not to miss it.

Vlog #71 Pullip event at Marui Annex and Alice on Wednesday (with video)

Groove has been posting a lot about the store where we can find pullip all over Japan lately and more recently, they talked about a special event at Marui Annexe in Shinjuku. I generally don't go around much to hunt for pullip since a lot of store really have only a few but since this time it was a special event in a large store I decided to go check it out for you.

The event itself was quite small, they had a few customised dolls which actually aren't prototypes for new releases. And they were selling pullip goodies and dolls. The dolls were the most recent one only at full price, they also had the clothes for make it own and shoes also at full price so I didn't get anything there.

Then we went to Alice on Wednesday with is a Alice in wonderland store. I had heard that it was so cute and awesome and I had checked it on google. Basically, I created a different image in my mind which made me a bit disappointed at the lack of the "museum" style part. The store has three floors, on the first floor you have Alice themed food and drinks, then you climb the stairs with mushroom painted on the wall on the way you meet the caterpillar.

The second floor is the jewellery and hair accessory floor with the throne of the queen of heart. Then you take the stairs to the third floor which has paining of roses and Alice art including the face of the Cheshire cat and the third floor is mostly books and cushion and some Mad Hatter decoration.

There wasn't really much places where I could put my dolls to take pictures. I wish I could I have books or cushion to make my pictures more Alice like but anyway that's basically all you can see on the video.

Then Hibarichan got a rabbit hat that's made for cats.

17/365 Emmanuella has rabbit hands

I finally managed to get the Pullip Classical white rabbit a few days back and here we have Emmanuella trying on the rabbits hands. Since she didn't come with clothes, she is stealing pieces from my other dolls.

13/365 Emmanuella is playing princess Snow White

I decided to try yet another outfit on my momonita doll. Today she is wearing the azone princess snow white Aika's outfit. I really like this look on her. I'm not sure yet if I prefer her in a princess or a casual style.

12/365 Emmanuella loves Ice cream

Since I still had the background up from the Whispering Island doll group, I decided to take some picture of my Momonita using it. 

I wasn't really sure what sort of pictures to take with her so I put her in some casual clothes and gave her an ice cream. I have a lot of pictures on which she is eating.

Vlog #68 Day Trip To Nagano: Orchard and Onsen (with video)

We went to Nagano for the first time. We visited the Kamihira Orchard and learned about growing apples and we went to an onsen in the mountain. Nagano is famous for the winter olympic a few years back but also for apples. There are apple trees everywhere around. We drived to the Kurokawa river to go to the onsen.
Of course I has a doll with me for pictures and Hibarichan.

8/365 Eating Sushi

Today Emmanuella is wearing Akemi's over sized jumper and went out for sushi. I used onigiri boxes as seat and table. The sushis are the smallest eraser doll prop that I have I think they work well with her size.

Today Emmanuella is wearing Evangelicalion's school uniform. It was a bit challenging to put on but it finally works well. It seems to be lunch time so she's having a snack.
