I did a lot of writing today. I managed to catch up the words I didn't
write on day 8. I don't know what happened on day 8 really. I was just
in front of my PC and I couldn't write any sentence that make sense.
So today I got almost 5k words which is what I needed to be on time for
my own schedule.
I also made a video for my other channel with the last doll box I had to
open.
Then I made a little centaur custom. I had it forever and I finally
decided it was time to make it. I had quite a bit of problem on the face
but after three tries it's not that bad.
Today I had a very slow start so I decided to use one of my little tricks to get those words done.
I opened Write or Die and Wrote like a maniac because I didn't want to die. ;)
Write or die is an online page where you have to write or consequences. You can chose your amount of words and time for free or you can pay for the upgraded version. Personally, I use the free version, it totally does the work of tricking me into writing a lot of words really fast.

Today I also talked with a friend and sort of brainstorm her story and it made me think about brainstorming for writer in general as I see it happen a lot in writing groups. I like to brainstorm for other but I would totally hate to have someone infusing ideas in my stories so in this video, I explain why.
Today's writing was on the low side. 112 words that's ridiculous but at
the same time. Every little words count and 112 words is always better
than zero.
I went to a doll event (I do those a lot) in Saitama. It was my first
time actually getting out of the train at Omiya station.
I have a coverage of the event here if you want to have a look.
It was small but a lot of fun, especially the seeing a doll created in
front of me part.
I'm still on schedule for the "normal" NaNoWriMo but now I'm 502 words
behind for my own special "2500 words a day" schedule. Hopefully, I'll
deal with that soon and get back on track.
Of course I have been writing today. I managed to reach 5452 words. That cover the 5000 words I should reach on day 2 and the 2500 daily words and gives me about 100 extra.
I really wanted to push a bit more but I had no time after dinner.
I still have half of my blog to work through. I really wish I could work when someone else is in the room, that would help a lot because as soon as Ikki comes home I can't do anything anymore except maybe read and crochet.
So yeah no video filming and no writing after dinner unless he goes to bed before me. I need to find a way to schedule things so that I'm not so frustrated with being unable to work when he is around.
Today is the first day of NaNoWriMo and I totally skipped on the midnight party kick start. I would probably have done it if I was still in Belfast but I actually don't know anybody to NaNo chat at midnight Japanese time since we are the first starting sort of.
So I decided to have a before breakfast write instead and it worked really well. I'm at 2873 words already which is 373 words more than my normal 2500 words schedule. And yes, I know you only need 1667 a day to win NaNoWriMo but I have a different plan that actually proved to work for me. I also got very limited dolls delivered today.
Today I did quite a bit for my Artist Way project. I started with the morning page, I did a bit of digging up the bad stuff though none of it came out during my positive affirmations. Then I decided to start on exercise 8 which is listing 5 alternative lives. I call that the parallel lives travel. It was actually quite fun to figure out other things that i might be doing. The second part of the exercice is to actually do it, o I'll pic one of the lives tomorrow and do that .

Today I'm telling you what I wrote after Demon Soul, this is basically an explanatory list of all my current novels, either as drafts, published version, or unfinished drafts.
I decided to create a new Youtube Channel to talk about books related stuff, like Book reviews, Book discussion, Writing, especially my writing projects and writing history and such. And maybe also to talk about general topics, like though that I have on thing.

It took me way longer than expected to win Camp NaNo, I actually only won today instead of winning on the 20th as planned.
Here I give some reason why, between finishing my previous novel in the middle of camp when I decided to actually cut this story into a series instead of just a novel.
Then I got annoyed with my character being so angry, it actually made me a bit depressed and wondering if I wasn't the one being angry and putting my feelings inside of my character.
So I was really bad for a few days after the Idoll. I don't know if you have noticed but I didn't put any video after the idoll three videos that I put up just after the event. I was actually depressed and sleeping a lot and I had a sore throat and I couldn't write anything without getting pissed of at myself. I have to say that the results of the French election and the stupidity resulting from it on the internet didn't help.
Anyway. I was really bad with my writing for a few days as you can see on my NaNo Graph but I finally snapped out of it, it time.
At the moment, I'm a bit delayed on my 2500 words per day schedule. There are two good reasons for that.
The second is that yesterday, I was out taking my wedding pictures with my husband for the entire day. We took pictures in three different location, with western style and Japanese traditional outfits.
The first is more writing related since two days ago I actually finished the novel for this camp NaNo. If you remember, I decided to actually reshape my novel into a series with multiple books, so the first one finished a lot earlier than if I had written it as a incredibly long novel.
Then in this video, I discuss why I ended up with having to cut this novel into a series. And the main part is that I tend to follow my characters on a day to day basis and I have the hardest time to skip long period of time.

I'm write on time for my 2500 words a day schedule. I'm actually at 20716 words at the moment. I only wrote 652 words today but the day is not over so I still have some times.
In this video, I explain how my main character tried to kill me. I'm trying in integrate some emotional response to my character and it ended up with me almost going into a panic attack.
Then I'm talking about the new plan for this novel and the one that follows.

In today's video, I explain why my writing journey didn't start as planned and how I managed to turn things around to catch up with my writing goal and enter my normal writing routine.

It's time to write guys. So I'm going back to "Witch Raising" after my half failed attempt to write after NaNoWriMo in November because it has to be finished. The first rule of writing and the only one that really matter is to finish the draft, finish the story.
In today's video, I'm talking about the new features on the nano camp website and about what I did to prepare for this month of writing.
This is the last update on NaNoWriMo. I might have more writing updates later depending how things goes.
Today is December 1st so NaNoWriMo finished at midnight last night. It was a lot of fun as usual, I didn't participate in as much word count sharing and discussion as I usually do because my schedule was a bit tight and I sort of missed that but it didn't stop me from finishing it and reaching my first goal even if I didn't make it to the second.
In this video, I talk a lot about what is coming next, that is, what I'm going to be doing writing-wise in December. I'm introducing NaNoFiMo, you can join the forum here even though it's a bit dead today, I don't know if it's going to be updated or when you can have a look here.
And also I talk about my word count spread sheet. Basically, that's what I use when there is no other place online to count my words. It's also pretty nice in the sense that I can keep the data and analyse them later and compare them to other months.

Welcome to a new NaNoWriMo update. This one is a bit of a sad update as I have almost now written at all since the previous update and it has been 4 days. Bad bad little me, I really trying super hard not to hate myself about it right now.
So here are some reasons why I haven't written anything. First I was out of town, so before going out of town I needed to "fix" my place. I have this tendency of using trip as deadline for doing big things I was putting of and of course I had to do it all at once and at the last minute so I started moving the furniture around the day before leaving. Of course, my house looks way better, I have better access to my dolls. My boyfriend even think I can really get an extra doll shelf but I hurt my back in the process and I was in so much pain by the end of the day that I couldn't do anything.
I was still feeling bad the next day but I needed to go to the azone store to get the Minami mermaids new versions. If you haven't seen that and are interested, check the last trip to the azone store video here and the vlog for that day here.
I think it will be self explanatory. I spent the all day out before taking the bus for out of town.
Then the rest of the weekend when all my American friends were having a Turkey day, I was at my boyfriend's parent having Japanese food and playing with dogs. So I didn't do much writing.
The thing is, I had planned on doing a lot of things over there and on getting a lot of videos recorded but it didn't work that way. I gave up on making the doll videos when it took the all night to upload the vlogs and I think the environment wasn't really my writing cup of tea.
For my writing I need a sort of familiar environment so that I can get the creative just flow and it just didn't happen over the weekend. I was just interrupted every time I started writing. My concentration is really getting low with unusual noise happening as I am a super jumpy person. Anyway, the big idea here is, if you don't have a particular writing environment that works for you and you have trouble getting the words out, maybe it would be a good idea to create a writing space and habit that always make the words flow. I know I'm back in mine, considering how much I just wrote in this blog post.
So this is another over due update for NaNoWriMo and there is two main reasons for that (not including a suspicions of a small food poisoning with orange juice).
First, I think I fell into the post NaNoWriMo Syndrome and rested on my laurels for a bit. I guess this happen to a lot of people after reaching a goal. We just don't want to keep going because in a way, we already made it. I think it happens to me quite often and I finally figured it out so I'm going to be taking care of not falling for it again. When I reached my 50000 words, I actually reached my primary goal for the month, the goal all NaNoWriMo writers are running after and therefore it was a bit hard to get into the big picture (finishing the draft, rewriting, editing and publishing the novel) Because, I don't really have a deadline anymore or the NaNoWriMo induced motivation. Still after talking with a friend on twitter, I figured out that 50000 words wasn't my real goal, but more of a stepping stone. So yes, I'm back at trying to get 2500 words a day. I seriously want to do it until all the books I planed to write so far are done so fingers crossed on that.
Then the second point was that I didn't know what I was writing. My main character started to learn the tarot and I don't know much about tarot so I needed to do some research about it to be able to keep going, still reading on the internet didn't seem to cut it so I got myself the "Witches Tarot". I maybe should have started with a normal tarot deck but I thought that because my character is a witch it would be a lot better to use something sort of specifically designed for her, or at least for witches. Learning the tarot with my character is going to be a lot of fun. If you want some updates on the witch tarot please let me know too.
So this time, I wrote a little bit more to make sure that the NaNoWriMo word eating monster machine was going to accept my win and here we go!

So on the 20th, I won NaNoWriMo... Almost....
I had it all, my Open office word count was sure, I had my 50057 words. That's even 57 words too many, brilliant.
But that was without counting on the NaNoWriMo word eating monster machine!
See the word count for NaNoWriMo always understimate how much you wrote while Open office sort of over estimate it I guess. To be sure I'll have to count all my words by hand (or a sample) but I'm not going to really do it. NaNoWriMo believe that I have only 49760 words so I'm going to write a bit more and in the next video, I'll show you what happens when you win NaNoWriMo.
Another day of writing! Today I wrote 3163 words therefore reaching 45120 words in total for my current NaNoWriMo project. It was a nice writing day. I was out for the most part of the morning until late afternoon and still manage to get some writing done.
In this video, I'm also giving more details about the story line of this novel and how it fits into the demon series. I never realised how much things tend to be all about Brownie until I actually say it out loud, she is definitely one of my most appearing characters even though it wasn't really meant to be that way. See I wanted demon soul to be a romance novel but realised that I couldn't write romance because I was so bored by it.
Anyway, I'm going to continue writing for a bit as tomorrow I'm going to Ak-garden and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to write when I'm coming back home.
