Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.
“If I open it, normally, from the front, it's just a normal chest full of old news paper.” To demonstrate, he opened the lid of the chest. The inside smelled a bit rancid, old newspapers and photographs and a smell of ink and dust came out of it.
“Why are you keeping those?”
“That's my grand-father's stuff, from the war, it's untouchable,” Eric said closing the lid back. “Now here is the trick, if you open the chest from the right side...”
He pressed the button and the chest elevated on the right side showing a well lit staircase.
“Tadam! This is where my grand-father hided people during the war. Most of the time he had two families down there, sometimes more until they could take a chance at crossing the border. Some of them just stayed here until the end though.
