Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.
Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last time.
"You see I'm going to be nice to you," I said. "I love blood very much and the smell of it makes me hungry but of course, I won't eat from the floor like an animal."
"I'll do anything you want, please don't kill me," he said.
He had finally found his tongue back. Did telling him that I was going to be nice, give him a little hope? I couldn't say.
"Of course, of course," I said smiling and coming closer. I could see the blood pumping in his vein under the tender skin of his neck as I came closer.
He had his back to the wall and he was looking away from me, his face on the side of his body probably as an ultimate effort not to look straight at death but that was only making me hungrier.
I jumped on him all fangs out and they pierce his skin. He didn't even yell but he struggled pushing my body away as I grabbed his wrists and pulled them down along his body for him to stand still.
He finally calmed down but I had to carry him as his legs were the first thing to give up from the lack of blood. His blood was hot, a lot warmer than any blood I had ever drunk but he didn't have a fever, it was hard to explain. I stopped. He looked at me. His face was pale.
"What did they make you drink?" I asked.
Once again he didn't answer but that wasn't because he didn't want to. I was feeling powerful, more powerful than ever but I wasn't sure why. They had given him something I didn't know about, something that made his blood run faster in his vein and it had also been absorbed faster inside of my body.
