Thursday Fiction 341: Parallel Slip: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction. We continue where we left of last week, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

She never practiced the piano enough and was probably making mistake on purpose when it was so easy anyway. Nobody would make mistake on purpose to be yelled at, after a while hearing this again and again had taken its toll. Her mother would always complain on taking her to classes, especially the music theory class that was so far away and where she needed to be mixed with other children as there was no tutor for it. She then had decided to give up the theory, thinking that at least that would make her mother happy, but of course that wasn't good enough and her mother had decided that if she wasn't going to learn music theory she didn't need to learn the piano anymore either.

For the language it was the same. Either the languages were useless or she shouldn't be learning them while she couldn't spell properly yet. The thing was, even known spelling was evading her and it wasn't helping that her brother and her mother excelled at it. Plus her pronunciation was also terrible, she couldn't be understood. So she stopped. She was tired of being made fun of. Her mother didn't speak any other language and didn't see why her daughter should.
