We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.
Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last week.
“Take her away in the next street, you’ll need a bit of privacy for what is coming,” my cousin said. The girl was trying to walk away from me but I was holding her hand tightly. I pulled her closer and carried her in my arm to go to the next street. I made sure nobody could see us. Simion had said that the best way to make a human yell was to have them alone and to tell them how their family was going to be tortured and how they would go to hell because god hated creature who had been spoiled by vampire.
I let the girl on her feet, she was looking toward the way we came from as if hoping for someone to come from her. Humans were always full of hopes.
I pressed her against the wall.
“Don’t hurt me, please, don’t hurt me,” she pleaded crying. I wished that Irina could plead and cry like that, next time I would try to make her, her step father did.
I stroke the hair of the girl, twisted a tuff between my fingers, it seemed to make her relax a bit. She could still hope, I wasn’t biting her as suddenly as Simion had bitten the man. I felt her relief.
“Will you be really nice for me?” I said.
She nodded strongly with her head without making a sound.
“Then I will tell you what the other are going to do to your family and the villagers,” I said.
She swallowed, humans all have the same moves, it was funny. I came closer to her ear and neck, smelling the blood racing in her veins and whispered in her ear, slowly carefully, making her feel my breath on her skin and in her ear all the thing Simion had told me to say.
