Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction. We continue to follow Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.
Her mother knew that she was traveling because she could read it on her face and then somehow if they weren't in the same room, she also figured it out. Isabelle let herself fall back on her bed. She needed to get dressed, her mother would be here any minute once she was done with the other Isabelle in Asfora.
She had visited eighteen universes today, in all of them she had either been already grounded or her mother had appeared to take her back. It was a nightmare, she never even saw it coming. Just like right now, she had been in Asfora but she had let her other self be in control of her own body, she had just watched the world through her eyes and she had no idea how her mother had known where to find her. It was impossible to escape her.
The decided footsteps resonated outside in the corridor. And Isabella sat up, closing her bathrobe tight around her body. She didn't have time for a proper outfit, and no matter how she would dress there was no way she would make her mother happy.
Her mother didn't knock at the door, she never did, she just entered at any time she pleased. Isabelle had given up long time ago on privacy. When she was fourteen, she had wanted a key to be able to keep her younger brother out but instead of having understanding from her parents, all she had was complains about how dangerous it was to lock yourself in a room and how asocial she was not to want her brother in. He had the same bad habit as her mother, he never knocked. It was as if her room also belonged to them and that made her cringe. She always had to share everything, always had to be nice and let other play with her things, always have her space invaded.
