WeWriWar 298: The House at the Crossing 3

 

Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!

I decided to change things a little bit so for the next few months, I'm going to present you my new WIP. It's called "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.

It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is. 

Since it's a WIP, and I still haven't finished the first draft, it's still really row. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement as it goes.

Let's start right at where we left off last week!

Except, you're not stupid, you just make mistakes because that what's people do, or sometime, like just now, someone else makes a mistake and you are the one paying for it. And even if you don't listen to people, you can still hear them, and sometimes, it does matter, at least, until you can manage to make it not matter but that's not something they'll teach you. Like “you're just over reacting and being a baby”, like this helps!

So yes, last time, I went to my dad, for 3 long interminable months. The thing about my dad is that he doesn't blame, instead he doesn't actually know how to act around people, hear "extreme introvert". So everything was always awkward, awkward conversation, awkward house rules, awkward being in the same room. It wasn't bad per se, it just had me on edge every second I spent at home.

You think I have mummy issues, or daddy issues, or maybe both. Truth is, I have issues with every one.
